[A black-winged pegasus, with a thin bracelet of chain around all hooves, rears up and snarls. On his back is a scabbarded sword. Odd that.]

NYBBAS, YOU DARE!? BELETH, YOU DARE!? YOU DARE TRY TO CAPTURE ME HERE!? Did you really think this form would be an IMPEDIMENT to me!? Enemy of free will, perverter of Man's dreams and drives, you made a mistake bringing me to this pastel mockery.

[Yep, he draws that sword alright. Yep, it's... a flaming sword, all right.]

If this is not an Ethereal realm, then where is it? I know this place, and I know it is... contested.

A Saturday morning cartoon... and one I could name. Usually if I find myself anywhere that looks like one, it is an Ethereal realm - and Ethereal realms resembling the Media's work are almost never good places to find yourself.

[Aleph should like people who talk about free will and Man's wishes. He should, but the shouting and sword-waving gets on his nerves too much.

He's also armed, though his sword is still sheathed. And Laurence might be able to sense a demonic aura from him... or more accurately the fly resting on his head.]

[The ability to sense demons is not actually among his powers, unless they happen to be of the Balseraphim. Honor, on the other hand, that he can sense - if someone hasn't the defenses to hide it, he can tell what they consider their most honorable moment, and their least.

He turns and stares Aleph down, trying to get such a read on him. Very reluctantly, Laurence sheathes his sword.]

What am I to assume, when I know of this place and how contested it is in my war? The Prince of the Media is one of the most cunning foes I've ever face. I'd not put this past him.

[Aleph generally does not consider himself an honorable person, despite his title. His least honorable moment, in his view, would be breaking the machine that kept a city of people in a virtual paradise unbeknownst to them. He doesn't know how badly they were harmed by this.

It was necessary - hooked up to Arcadia, they were completely under the center government's control and completely unaware of what was going on. But it was hardly honorable.

His most honorable moment would have been being willing to sacrifice his life for the chance to stop a tyrant from destroying humanity. That tyrant was God, but it was still a near-hopeless battle that he went into because no one else would do it but him. Even on his success he was still cursed for eternity.]

I don't know that title. But if you know this place you're a step ahead of most of us. I'd never heard of Equestria before arriving.

I'm not surprised. Most of Humanity does not know about the war. Although you seem to have fought your own against a false God; curious.

Nybbas is the Demon Prince of the Media. He invented the Television and was immediately granted a brass ring by the Lord of Lies. This world bears... interesting similarities to a project spearheaded by the Angel of Feminism in service to Dreams; he's been working to subvert it ever since.

David or Michael will probably take command while I am gone. Gods, I hope it's Michael - David's credo of "Strike Last" is a good oath in theory, but "never strike first" is a problem.

Of course, my Michael is probably a great deal kinder than the one you know. And I should be surprised if you knew a Novalis.

I know much more of the land of demons than the land of angels - I've been there, seen the demons that call it home like any other home, spoken to them. My closest friend is Lucifer, who stood beside me when victory seemed an impossible dream and helped make it a reality.

Angels, I don't know much except how to battle them and the insults they've flung at me.
