"That's a bit of a long story... but the short version of it is, I'm from a planet called Cybertron and I crashed on what I'm assuming is a world called Earth..." He pauses "Well, there are humans on it at least. I don't think they're organized enough to decide on a name for the planet yet..."

He shrugs as he looks over at John. "I'll buy you a drink if you want the long story? You look like you need it..." Or at least Skyfire thought he would once the shock and the 'it's a dream' denial wore off.

If it involves getting somepony- ...somepony? Really? -somepony that can keep a consistent line of thought for more than five seconds, I'm all for it.

Somehow, the idea of grabbing a pint with a dragon is only odd if that he's offering it while they're in a pastel world of ponies. It's just not one of those settings you'd expect to see anything apart from fruit juice and water in. "Yeah... you see, the thing is, that sounds lovely - you seem lovely - but I'm pretty sure this is a dream.

"Or a hallucination..." Oh, god, has Sherlock been putting drugs in his drinks again? John might just actually kill the other man when he lays hands on him. "And I know you're going to tell me it's not, but this seems just a little beyond belief, wouldn't you say? Cybertron aliens and ponies and... everything, really."

[At least now he won't feel too bad about what he's going to do. Yelling something about Bearsonas and glowing bright blue, Teddie summons yet another bear in the form of his Persona, who raises up a razor clawed paw the moment he appears.]

Super Amazing Lumbearjack Attack Go!!

[The much larger bear swings his paw at the tree trunk and slices it in two. To no one's surprise, it begins to fall over.]

Oh thank goodness it's a familiar face! Rarity didn't want to scare Applejack away with all the crazy that was her life for the past couple of months.

"Oh Applejack! It is so wonderful to see you again!" she nearly squealed in delight at her friend. "I have heard that newponies have been coming in for over a year! It's hard to imagine!"

[appletastic]

"Over a year?"

Now Applejack was mighty confused. "I don't remember any of that. I just remember us fighting Lord Tirek and then helping Twi settle into her new castle---but the castle's not here. Did I miss something?"

[prissyhooves]

"Tirek...? Who's that? And since when did Twilight have a castle?"

...uh oh, this isn't the pony you're looking for.

Skyfire chuckled a little. "Well there's no harm in joining me for a drink then, is there?"

He shook his head and reached out for John's flank... and grabbed hold of a single tail hair with a surprising amount of dexterity for something so large. With a quick yank, Skyfire would pull out the hair and give John an apologetic look, since he knew that had to sting. Better a bit of pain now than doing something stupid later while thinking you couldn't get hurt right?

"Unfortunately, it's not a dream."

[appletastic]

"Evil overlord, took the magic from all the ponies in Equestria, remember? The other princesses had to give all their power to Twi, and she gave hers up to save Discord? And then we unlocked another form of magic to beat him?"

This is weird. Why doesn't anything make sense?

[prissyhooves]

...did Celestia keep something from her?

"I'm surprised that happened; it would've been all over Equestria here!" Rarity gasped, knowing that Applejack wouldn't lie about anything like this. "But nopony has even heard of this Tirek person...maybe that Zetta or Zedd fellow but never him."

[appletastic]

"Zetta? Zedd? Nope, never heard of 'em."

Now Applejack's totally confused.

"Did we both hit our heads?"

Hmm.

*Yecrux considers for a few moments. It sounds like a pretty useful weapon with some nice perks...but he was never very good with blades. After a moment he smiles.*

Well, I'm glad you found a weapon that works for you, that can be hard to do sometimes. What about the bird? Does he, uh, does he usually look like this?

Yeah, it's a nice weapon. And Chocoking II here? Yeah, I'm training him up, aren't you going to become a fighter, hmm?

[The Chocobo warked, not liking that all.] Oh c'mon, be a good sport like your companion. You don't see Magitek complaining, do you?

[The fat chocobo warked more, waving its stubby wings. Clearly he didn't want to argue with a sentinet magitek walker.]

Yeah! But...ah, Ami...

[She...might be going to hug the other.]

Its good to see somepony from home. I haven't seen you in months, not since I got here...

John flinches when the dragon pulls his fur out and waits expectantly for the pain to wake him. Or bring him some sort of clarity in the haze.

Only it doesn't. He stares up at Skyfire.

"Jesus Christ..." If this really isn't a dream, then what in God's name? "It's... how?"

John sits back on his haunches, just a little overwhelmed with the revelation. "I think I could really use that drink."

"No idea. I'm not too stressed over the idea of being here, but I know it's troubling for others."

Skyfire stretches a bit and nods his head in the direction of the place that serves harder drinks.

"The bar is that way..." He pauses and looks at the obviously overwhelmed expression on John's face. "... Do you want a lift there?"

[Ami breathes a small sigh of relief. At least this...uh...pony?...didn't seem to be a threat. She relaxed her guard a little, but still remained alert.]

[She frowns in thought.]

Ponyville? I've never heard of it before.

How...how long have you been here...like this? [Ami awkwardly gestures at herself, trying not to fall over.]

[She's assuming that, given she doesn't recognise this other pony, the situation is indicative of a threat from a new enemy, turning people into ponies and dropping them here. Wherever here actually is.]

Me? [Nozomi gave it a bit of a thought.] I'd say a good... Eight months? A number of us have been a year, though.

[Ami blinks as she's engulfed in a hug, and awkwardly tries to hug back. This four legs balancing act was a challenge.]

[And then she registers what Mina is saying.]

Months? That can't be right...I saw you just two days ago at the Hino Shrine.

[She frowns. It couldn't be...could it?]

Mina, what exactly is the last memory you have from home before being brought here?

[Ami frowns. Surely they would have heard about people going missing over the past year. Unless it went under the radar as they were dealing with Nehelenia?]

So, everyone here is trapped as a pony? No one has been able to find a way to change back into a human or go home?

Well, not everyone's a pony. Some of us are dragons and some of us are kitties! We did have a moment where we were restored to normal, but that was only due to... Strange reasons.

Troubling doesn't cover the half of it. Either he's gone completely mad or... or what? Inter-dimensional, transmogrifying travel is possible. He can hear a voice very like Sherlock's scoffing at the idea in his head. Then again, once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. They aren't talking about demon hounds here, no parlor tricks and gas and lights.

John can feel his ears as he swivels them, his hooves as they dig into the earth, and the swish of his tail as he flicks it.

This is fine. Completely fine. Perfectly fine.

"No, no. I think I should walk." Because getting carted about by a dragon, while undeniably cool, might just break the last semblance of calm holding him together. He gets up and takes a few tentative steps. "How long have you been here?"

[prissyhooves]

"Well one of them had the nerve to attack the town at least twice from what I heard. Not to mention how undeniably tacky the designs for those wretched monsters seemed to be. And don't get me started on Zedd himself!"

Despite everything and how dire the situation was, Rarity had to mention on how gaudy looking the creatures were and even the villain involved. Priorities indeed.

If Rarity wants to talk to somepony familiar, she may be in luck, as Celestia herself is in town. ...Except with a fancy hat. And clothes that can be described as either 'vagabond' or 'ruffian'. Something's not right here, but the pirate will address her as if everything was perfectly normal.

"Hello, Rarity. How are you?"

"Somepony's trying to hurt our town and that's what you're worried about?"

Oh Rarity. Never change. Applejack sighs. "Do you know if everypony got out okay?"
