Today, there's a newcomer in the Ponyville marketplace - a bizarrely striped unicorn with a Cutie Mark of a coiled worm, his sober, neutral expression as he takes in the sights and sounds not varying one bit.

Strangely enough, there seems to be a blue parasprite napping on his horn.

[Hey there ponyville. Today you have a smaller nearly-powerless Luna here today in the Town Square. From the looks on her face, she looks both confused and slightly frightened.

Care to help a little alicorn who's lost?]

Hi Demi-Fiend. Enjoy having a small foal with blue hair and blonde mane in your face. You didn't think you'd ever find a place he wasn't present to stalk you around, did you?

His eyes briefly glow red as he stares at you before lowering his head in greeting.

"It is not what I would have picked for myself either, my Lord."

He glances upwards at the parasprite on his horn.

"I expect Pixie will throw a tantrum when she wakes up, as well."

(Take a look at the new earth pony in town, everyone; he...doesn't seem all that surprised by this? World hopping is pretty normal for Terra, but even so, this is pretty weird.

Since world traveling rules still apply despite his canon point being post Birth By Sleep, he's just...gonna try and keep to himself for a while. Maybe get some answers, see what's up and hopefully not have to worry about Xehanort problems. Those are the worst problems.)

[Well... this pony doesn't look quite like the other ponies.

I mean, it's obvious he's a pony. If you've researched pokémon, you might even see that it's a familiar pony. But if you haven't, then the oddly fluffed mane might make him stand out a bit, even despite his slightly smaller size.

He's definitely a pony, though, judging by that odd card designed cutie mark.

Don't mind him, he's currently freaking out a bit. After all, it was great to be free of the Glacier Palace, but... well, what was this world. For all he knew it was another trick by Munna to try to break him further.]

(Oh yes, everyone's favorite queen certainly knows about the influx of random people in Equestria. She's been keeping quite a close eye on things ever since the wedding, but this...well, this is certainly interesting. Perhaps something she could use to her advantage? Won't stop her from trying.

In the meantime, she'll still keep a close eye on things, disguised as one of the many "visitors" to Equestria; what better way to work with the chaos than to be right in the middle of it all?)

Well, he was at one point somewhat famous as an explorer... though others calling his way by name was a little curious.

Well, that was likely different, at least - most pokémon didn't talk back, especially that fluently. Even Etranger was just learning how to.

You look cool! And your mane is so fluffy! [lol hai touchin your mane] What kind of pony are you?

[...Okay, he's not going to mind the touch much because let's be fair. Until he came here he was locked up in a palace of ice. It is kind of unnerving, though.

Pony...? I think you're mistaken. My name's Keldeo; I'm not a Ponyta...

[The horn makes it kind of obvious anyway, doesn't it, Pinkie?

Even if it's weird for a unicorn horn.]

Mako abruptly sits down at this, her brain completely overloading.

Aaaand the pony who apparently knows him blows a fuse and goes near-catatonic. Okay! That was.... new.

"Hey, uh... are you okay?"

Are you suuuuuuure? 'Cause you kinda LOOK like a pony. You've even got a cutie mark, see? [She stops the petting to point at his flank.] And you're definitely not a zebra!

Yeah, I'm positi-- [And he's distracted by the pointing on his flank. What the heck? Why are there entercards on his butt? Awkwardly, he tries to shake them off, and then tries to reach back and grab them - only to end up losing his balance and falling on his side.]

Wha...? Those aren't supposed to be there, though! I mean.. it doesn't FEEL like there's anything stuck to me, so why would...

[Sorry, Pinkie, he'll have to pass on the cupcake until he figures out exactly how he got a buttprint.]

Right now, she's just sort of staring at you with wide, slightly frantic eyes, but it isn't long before she snaps out of it and begins babbling feverishly.

"Okay, calm down, calm down, it's no big deal, just a talking Keldeo, oh who am I kidding, this is completely a big deal!"

With that, she jabs one forehoof forward to point at you accusingly.

"Do you have any idea what you've done?! ONE SENTENCE. With just one sentence, you have completely ruined MY FIRST PROFESSIONAL PAPER! IT TOOK ME MONTHS TO WRITE THAT THING! I LIVED IN A CAVE EATING NOTHING BUT LICHEN FOR THE FIRST MONTH OF RESEARCH!"

At that, her volume drops abruptly as she folds in on herself and begins stroking her tail.

"it wasn't even good lichen, the stupid stuff tasted like cardboard and the axew in the cave kept trying to steal my notebooks and the woobats kept trying to use me as a perch so i was covered in bruises AND ALL OF THAT WAS FOR NOTHING BECAUSE APPARENTLY I COULD HAVE JUST ASKED."

With that, she just stares over at you with sad, sad eyes.

"...no, I'm not okay. I'm not okay at all."

[sailorlaughter]

It's just a mark, silly. It's in your fur, like this! [She turns to show him her own cutie mark, rubbing a hoof vigorously across it. See? No dye!]

Okay, now it's Kel's turn to just sit down, stunned. If nothing else, all of that strikes almost painfully true. If nothing else, he knows what it's like to have to discard months or years of research.

He also knows what it's like to live in a cave eating nothing but the moss and lichen that grew on the rocks. Not exactly fun times.

"Hey. I know how it is, but..." Well, a few things didn't add up. "What do you mean, a talking Keldeo? What kind of pokémon are you, that couldn't understand other pokémon when they talked before...? I mean... you don't look all THAT different from me..."

...A mark? But... they won't do anything if they aren't specially made! You can't just... they're not something you can doodle on paper! Or on my behind, for that matter!

Nah, everypony from a different world gets ponified when they get here! Cutie marks just say what your special talent is, they don't really do anything. Why, what're they supposed to do?

It's... complicated. Entercards are a new technology, and it's really hard to explain how they work, but...

[Here we go. A deep breath.]

Using entercards, you can tap into the leylines of the planet and create a portal of energy, a Magnagate. With a magnagate, you can actually travel in those leylines, meaning it's a means of travelling farther, and faster, than you could naturally.
