Outside of the Everfree, the land was too bright. It wasn't a place for anyone like him, or of this form. Still, it was in this 'Ponyville' that most of his questions had been answered, and the strange creatures - the talking equines properly referred to as ponies - said he could come look around if he wanted to. A strange offer if he ever heard one extending a welcome to potential danger; not that he would purposely go to cause trouble.

Each claw resulting in a minor quake despite his best attempts, Oswald moved towards the town slowly with his head low and red eyes peering. He doesn't chance venturing into Ponyville proper, his body too large for most of the streets, but he's able to see and note enough from the outside and looking over roofs in. If he ever learned how to use the wings he had been given, he'd chance flying over for a more accurate layout.

His surveillance and silent observation of Ponyville halted momentarily as one of his claws hit water and his head snapped around, eyes glancing down at the pond. Oswald scowled and moved back, watching the fish he disturbed swim away. He hadn't been aware of the small bed of water being here... or the pony that was digging at the ground with a hoof. Now that he saw them, he turned his head, but said nothing. What were they doing? "..."
