Once there was a beautiful paradise called Arcadia, where there were no demons and everyone lived peacefully. It turned out to be a computer simulation everyone was hooked up to without their knowledge, and the person in charge tried to kill me when I found out.

I have a mom who looks...not too much older than I am, since she was 17 when she had me. Plus, the women on her side of the family all tend to look fairly young regardless, so there's that.

I also have a twin brother and a stepdad who's maybe fourteen or fifteen years older than my mom (he's tough as nails but he's pretty cool), and a little half-sister.

And I was living with my girlfriend before I came here.

Honestly, it makes sense from a purely practical standpoint. Most newcomers take a while to establish themselves enough to afford a residence of their own, and I know people aren't always fond of living long-term at the hotel or the commune. If you have someone, you may as well go live with them.

I can't really speak to the interpersonal aspects, I'm afraid.

If you knew even the slightest bit about how my machines are programed you'd know that's impossible. Worst that could happen is that the magi-battery goes haywire and even then I have failsafes.

Besides, if Discord, Nightmare Moon, and the changelings couldn't take over Equestria, there's no way a bunch of machines can.

I'd have to put weapons on them first.
