The Elements of Harmony- What matches your character?

Which element of harmony matches your character(s) best? Or are they far too chaotic for that sort of thing? Any reasoning behind your answer?

Cheatsheet of elements:
HONESTY - LOYALTY - GENEROSITY - KINDNESS - LAUGHTER - MAGIC

Definitely kindness. Tails is a real sweet heart, and is always willing to help someone out. He's pretty forgiving, though a little too much sometimes (In Sonic Colors, he believed Eggman when he claimed that he regrets his actions, and had built a space amusement park for the people. When Tails found out this was a lie (I mean c'mon it's Eggman), he was pretty un-happy, and especially got upset with what Eggman was doing with the Wisps.)

He's got a couple other traits too like being very honest and a bad liar, as well as, being pretty loyal to his friends.

What's funny is that I've TOTALLY done this with the entire cast of Atop the Fourth Wall and am in fact writing a fanfiction about it. Liz got landed with Kindness; she's the moral compass of the show and while her temper is short she's probably the most empathetic and she cares about humanity in general.

Farmer Jack would probably be either Kindness or Generosity. He's a total sweetheart and loves animals just like Fluttershy, and he loves giving back to the community.

Is the cast turned into ponies in this fanfic?

[personal profile] iron_mare 2013-04-14 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
nope, that makes it even weirder XD it's basically a story of an alternate reality's version of the Elements of Harmony landing in the gang's universe in time to deal with a much bigger Discord-like threat. /doesn't wanna spoil who it is

Hmm... I'm going to go with Loyalty. In his canon, Bertie goes to literally insane lengths to help his friends and family. He climbs buildings, commits illegal acts, and sets himself up as a human punching bag for their benefit. And he'll put down his logic for why he does all this as it just being what any decent fellow would do for the people he cares about.

In terms of who he's most like out of the Mane Six, though, it's Pinkie and Rarity. He'd fit well as Laughter (he loves having a good time and making sure everyone else does, too) or Generosity (sharing all of the nice things that he has), as well.

It's a damn shame that there's no elements of Derpitude or Britishosity.
tinkertytonk: (braying)

[personal profile] tinkertytonk 2013-04-13 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
He would be the best element of Britishosity, man. Bringin' the tea, king and country, and incomprehensible jazz slang to a Ponyville near you! Specifically the one Right By You, Flare Star. Bertie knows that everypony who's as helpful as you are and as insistent about not being sociable is just waiting for somepony else to swoop in and carry them off to a club for a solid night of drinking, dancing, and general carousing.
stormbroken: (gettin' real tired of your shit)

[personal profile] stormbroken 2013-04-13 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You would wake up with a broken leg, a pregnant mare, and the worst hangover you'd ever had in your life.

Are you so sure you want to do that, Bertie? And yes, somehow I expect that would somehow happen DESPITE the magical rules in place that keep the pregnant part from happening.

Mostly because it would be hilarious.
tinkertytonk: (oh my lord!)

[personal profile] tinkertytonk 2013-04-13 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Broken leg and hangover he can handle. Pregnant mare would make him go into meltdown mode. He thought about having a daughter at one point in canon after seeing a musical about a man with one. He had to ask his valet 'what do you suppose the proper procedure is?' for having one. At which point, Jeeves schemed to put Bertie through hell with a lot of little girls and he went off the idea entirely. I still don't believe he has any notion of how kids happen beyond: Well, you get married and then these things just sort of pop up every once in a while.

You were too drunk to remember and you probably want to keep it that way.

Let's just say it involved rope, a manticore, and enough cake icing to send a pony into diabetic shock.

My headcanon has said that in the pre-Nightmare Moon days, when Luna and Celestia sealed away Discord, Luna embodied Magic, Loyalty, and Honesty while Celestia embodied Generosity, Kindness, and Laughter. There's little proof of that, though Luna most identifies with the element of Twilight's butt Magic.

Flare, on the other hand, has in-background reasons for being matched with the element of Honesty. Not that it doesn't fit her - she's basically a grumpier, blunter version of AJ in ways. She'll tell it like it is, no matter how rough the truth may be.

[personal profile] ponymechanic 2013-04-13 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to agree with the alicorn sisters part. It makes perfect sense when you really look at their personalities. I personally think Celestia most identifies with Kindness. Why else would she want Discord redeemed? I ship Luna and Twilight too.

Sephiroth would be the Loyalty element, because in her AU she is very loyal to her friends. To the point that when they were in danger, she left the company to join them in order to aid and protect them.

She could be generous, bluntly honest and kind to some, but the one which matches her best is Loyalty.
ponymechanic: (huh?)

[personal profile] ponymechanic 2013-04-14 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I think loyalty would be the best fit for Wally, but then again, I've only watched the first season (I'll watch the second one soon enough. Took a break after that marathon.) I might be off.

I had to seriously think about whether I think Handy/Hoofy fits any of those. He's certainly not honest, the whole merciless genocide thing kind of puts a damper on the 'kindness' angle (even if they WERE Daleks), he's too down on himself for laughter, he has no magic-like powers....

But like the Doctor, he'll show loyalty to his friends and to his chosen species-to-keep-safe. I don't think that's the strongest one for him, though -- I think he's generosity. Show him a problem some stranger is having, and he'll immediately jump right in, ignoring the question of what it'll cost in terms of his own time and safety. While he's a packrat (or would be if the Doctor hadn't kept all his their the Doctor's stuff), I don't think he's actually actively concerned with amassing possessions, and he's just as happy to give most things away or use them up helping people as he is to keep them.

Generosity does sound like a good match.

And now I have a vision in my head of Handy and Doctor fighting like little boys over a toy car except that it's the TARDIS. (I sure hope that wouldn't happen but it's funny to imagine.)
bluesuit_hoofy: (worried | embarrassed)

[personal profile] bluesuit_hoofy 2013-04-14 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to warn you, my Handy can be pretty snippy with various Doctors. :p He feels threatened by the whole...original versus copy thing.

He totally would fight the Doctor over a toy TARDIS.

The do need to meet. The Doctor has been told there's another Doctor around and little about him. So he has his suspicions about just who it is.

Not sure where they should meet.

Could put Loyalty, but this time, I won't. Instead, I'll put down Laughter. Butch loves to cheer people up, and to laugh and have fun. He's almost always cheerful, this guy. Some times he might be happy for bad reasons (he's trigger-happy) or for stupid reasons (like if someone does something silly) but he's really a nice guy. If you need cheering up, just come to the happy outlaw!
snowpointvictor: (Techno Geek)

[personal profile] snowpointvictor 2013-04-15 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Wow this is kind of hard: she takes herself too seriously to be laughter, no magic powers to speak of, and she's too hard on people to be kindness. So that leaves the other three. She's really a mix between those three but Loyalty trumps them all sadly. Even though she's no where near as reckless or stubborn as Rainbow Dash like her she wouldn't give up on her friends.

Honesty! ...except no, nope, absolutely not. And while being usually kind, he can be downright nasty sometimes, his laughter (and his smiles) aren't always genuine, he's too jealous to be completely generous, and powers (such as magic) aren't really that important to him.

But, he's faultlessly loyal. So, there we have it. Loyalty ^^
