ANIMATED ACTORS MEME!

Some of you've been cast members on the hit TV show "My Little Jamjar" for over a year now, and some of you are the newest castmembers joining in, but that's not who you really are. All of you are actors - no, not you writers/muns. All the characters - they aren't the characters they portray. Well, they might be, or might not be. Who knows?

1. Post your character. Give a brief bio if you like.
2. Reply to others. Repeatedly, if you like.

Here's a few things you can do:

--- Water Cooler gossip
--- Provide a link to an IC interaction you've had with the character you're replying to and do outtakes reels. Bonus points if you repeatedly try to get through a scene and keep having other things go wrong with it.

Hilda Jones | Mako Daylily Linden

Hilda's one of the 'rising stars' on the show - 'Mako' was one of the original cast members, although she didn't really rate much in the way of character development until halfway through the first season - almost as if the writers didn't know what to do with her at first! Then 'Mako' met 'Nozomi' and, well...everything started coming up Roselias for young Miss Jones. She's always willing to talk about her experiences on set...just, uh, don't mention the NozoxMako shippers around her, okay?

Miles Thorndyke | Miles "Tails" Prower

Miles is an experienced child voice actor, having previous done work for Drama Drama Duck, as well as a voice actor for Tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog video games (which he still does). Both of his parents are actors, though his mom is a british actress. Because of that, he has duel citizenship in both the US and the UK. He moved to California when he was seven years old.

He's quite aware of the fandom, but he doesn't like to talk about shipping. Especially if deals with his character (he's seen quite a bit of the nastier side of the fandom). He's also played a good majority of the Sonic games in existence.

He also doesn't like his agent as it feels like she hates him and wants to torture him as much as possible. He doesn't know what her deal is with him. Because of that, he doesn't talk very much to her anymore outside of business. He's given up trying to talk some sense into her.

[Kathleen skims through the script until she finds her part. Both she and Miles Thorndyke are rehearsing for the Gala. She reads through her part before flinching a tiny bit, her eyes growing a tiny bit wide.]

...I have to actually slap you? Or... are you up for a fake slap?

Sota Fukushi | Gentarou Kisaragi

Onscreen he is vibrant, happy, outgoing and energetic. He is all these things offscreen but he is considerably more reserved. Sota to his castmates, is very shy actually, but having gotten the lead part in Kamen Rider Fourze and then again in My Little Jamjar as a fan favorite, he was on the set every morning with a smile on his face and a Fourze handshake for everypony.

That being said, he had also requested some time off, to work on a couple of projects for Toei, but he's back.

Coco Lavigne | Coco Pommel

Coco is rather new in the acting business. She was born in France but moved to the US at a young age. She's one of the most popular openly-gay rising actresses on the show, though she didn't start out that way.

When she started, things were shaky, as if her agent didn't really know what to do with her. It got to the point where there was talks of her leaving the show, but as soon as her character gained Precure powers, her popularity soared.

She's also a voice actress for the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic show. There's talks of her returning next season, but there's not much details on that. Depending on that episode, there might be some more changes coming.

Coco herself mostly ignores the fandom. Sure she doesn't think all bronies are bad, but the clop pics make her uncomfortable (especially ones with her character) and she's heard a few horror stories about the bad ones.

Also, much like her character, she is currently dating the actress that plays Kreutzer.

Ayumi Takashi | Ako Shirabe

Even child actresses grow up.

When it was apparent that Ayumi was growing far too quickly and becoming too old, the writers had found a reason for her to take a break while they reinvented her character. It went through several rewrites until they settled on a almost 100% Pretty Cure based history and reason for her timeskip. By then, Ayumi had finished her early growth spurt and was ready to film, even if further delays came from her old contract with Toei for a cameo in Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 3 much like Sota had left the cast of My Little Jamjar for Kamen Rider Taisen.

It was here that she was sipping tea while waiting for her next appearance in the episodes.

Kathleen Barr | Trixie Lulamoon

Kathleen Barr is a somewhat well-known actor with lots of previous experience. She's been in works such as Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Ranma 1/2, Reboot, Lego Ninjago, and the cartoon for Megaman. However, it wasn't until My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic where she finally got a true roll to shine in.

She appeared occasionally in the aforementioned cartoon before moving on full-time to the show My Little Jamjar, where she gaioned a somewhat important role alongside people who play Lyra, Tails, Bertie, The 11th Doctor, and Zetta.

Suzuko Mimori | Pinkie Pie

When it came to tap a new actress for Pinkie Pie's second duplicate from the Equestria Girls universe, they had gone straight to the source in Japan for this one. Getting the voicework from Suzuko Mimori proved surprisingly excellent, as her English was excellent and her energy high volume.

Jennifer Hale | Lyra Heartstrings

She was on call when the request came. Lyra Heartstrings, a popular background character needed a voice. And Jennifer was there to get the voice worked out.

As it stood, the newly voiced Lyra was chatting up a storm, and having fun with her animated toon co-stars and non-toons as well. The character had recently undergone a treatment from Kamen Rider and Precure, thanks to their contract with Toei and Lyra was drinking from a straw, dressed in her flowing white outfit.

Harvey Lovhaug | Harvey Finevoice

Harvey is one of those singers who was popular enough that his agent - for some reason - decided he ought to try breaking into acting as well. Most of his roles have been live-action cameos so far, nothing spectacular, but he was actually pretty excited to try voice acting. He makes a living on his voice anyway, right? Besides, this is the kind of show his kids would be thrilled to hear him on. And they have been. His character is more of a sidenote, not too important to the big dramatic plot, but he gets a song in every couple episodes and that's plenty fine by him.

Admittedly, his character has taken a pretty extreme dark turn lately. He's hoping it doesn't bother his younger fans too much, while simultaneously trying to nag the writers into making things a little sunnier. It ain't like he's against real-life issues being covered in kid's media, but come on - it's a pony show.

Jesse Oppenheimer | Pollo

Jesse's last role was on the live-action show Kon Ran. This one was pretty well-known for being dark and gritty, and no one was terribly surprised when his character died shortly before the finale, after a heel-face turn that didn't last.

They were surprised when the next role he took was as a VA on an animated show with talking ponies. But hey - he can't be typecast as a serial killer forever!

Ellen Skotchil | Iron Liz

[It's been known for a while that Elly was leaving. The great thing about this premise was that characters could just come in and out easily, so all the writers had to do was figure out how to react to it.

It seems strange after all this time though - she was one of the first ones brought on board. And so the little farewell party the crew threw together is a somber one. At least the cake is delicious.]

[Kathleen, as Trixie, hasn't really interacted much with Ellen while they were filming. That didn't mean they didn't talk off-stage. Kathleen sees Ellen hanging around the wall during the party, frowns, and approaches.]

Kaori Mizuhashi | Mami Tomoe

A teen actor with limited experience, her first work, Puella Magi Madoka Magicka, proved to be very popular. Though she had only appeared in less than 4 episodes, she was instantly memorable upon her 3rd. She has gone on to film a spin-off or two in the same roll, but other than that, she doesn't really have that much experience.

She moved on to a new work, My Little Jamjar, and i steadily working and happy ith her role in things there. However, she is notorious for creating many outtakes wherein she tries to sneak in various head jokes, referencing her work in Puella Magi Madoka Magicka.

Discord | Discord

Several weeks into taping, it was discovered that the man voicing the character Discord was not, in fact, the person they had hired, but rather a mysterious homeless person who had wandered into the studio and was now sleeping in a supply closet at night. The fact that he would only answer to "Discord" should have been suspicious, in retrospect, but they'd all thought he was just a weird sort of method actor.

Despite all of this, he WAS a very good voice actor, and friendly enough despite his bizarreness. Someone just put a cot in the supply closet, and the show goes on.

There's a gentle knock on that supply closet door with Trisha standing on the other side. She's holding a slice of cake on a plate with a fork planted in it.

"Discord? I brought you a slice of cake from Ellen's farewell party."

Trixie knows she gives ponies that special feeling, but if you would mind, keep it within the ratings, Bertie.

Takako Honda | Princess Luna

With the renewed contract of the original My Little Pony series in Japan and a expected adaptation of the third season in play, the Japanese studio had lent voicework from their pool of excellent seiyuus. One such came along with Suzu, Takako Honda, who did regular voicework for English-language stuff.

Her take on Princess Luna wildly impressed the viewership with her antics, love of music and a generally carefree Princess.

Jessi Nowack | Littlepip

Jessi had always been one to struggle to find her place. She is mostly unknown, but she has had limited experience My Little Jamjar before as Vinyl Scratch. She left to do other tidbits of work, but had eventually returned as Littlepip for a second try.

Luke Morgan | Marty McFly

Luke Morgan had no real initial interest in being a voice actor, after all, he was an aspiring musician, and really who ever heard of a famous singer who got their start from voicing characters from kid's cartoons? But when a friend told him about there being auditions for this new show where singing seemingly played a major role in it, Luke couldn't resist. (Besides being a poor young adult just out of college he really needed all the money he could get.)

As it turned out, being a voice actor wasn't that bad. The character he was cast to play was a singer himself which was an amazing coincidence. Plus he also had short enough hours that he could still do gigs at bars so he didn't have to give up his career at all! Okay the people he worked with were cool too, but short hours!

However, it kind of ticked him off that he was promised singing in this show and he had yet to sing in anything. He could even take being part of the chorus but he hasn't even been granted that yet. If he wasn't too poor to get an agent Luke would go to him and complain.

Jeff Kramer | Francis York Morgan

Jeff is reprising his VA role as York, considering MLJ was acting as a massive crossover project. Already a veteran actor with a lot of experience under his belt, he's certainly not as quirky as his animated counterpart.

He still has some of the same vices, though, judging by how he's outside the recording booths, lighting up a cigarette (yes, POLICE brand, a gift from Swery himself) and relaxing after one of his recent scenes. He has, of course, noticed how he's being featured less and less, but it isn't all that much of a problem.

Flutura Shaw | TT!Fluttershy

Flutura is reprising her role as Fluttershy here in MLJ, having some experience with the role when she was in Terminal Tokyo before it's cancelation. She is still fairly new in the voice acting business, having played various minor roles here and there, as well as parts in independent features before landing a part in Terminal. She is somewhat shy, though not nearly as she as the characters she plays, so she enjoys the smaller parts and independent features, and continues to take part in them even while being here in MLJ.

Still she is quite eager to get to know her fellow cast mates here in MLJ, and while she is still new to the cast she is more than willing to work hard in her role.

Ryosuke Miura | Ankh

Brought in for a brief stint on the show along with some other Toei actors reprising their roles, Ryosuke Miura is quite a bit friendlier and easier to get along with than the abrasive hand-bird that he's best known for playing. He's had parts in many movies and shows since Kamen Rider OOO, and has even started in on a singing career, which was part of what kept his time on My Little Jamjar short.

But his agent has been pushing him to come back, since there's more time on his schedule and the promise of actually putting some of that singing talent to use. So he's back in town, at least, and swinging by the studio. Mostly just to check up on some of his old co-stars, maybe see if they'd want to head out for drinks when all's done... but maybe just to see how production's going, and if it's something worth looking into agreeing to.

Ami Koshimizu | Yukiko Amagi

Miss Koshimizu was supposed to only appear briefly on My Little Jamjar due to several other projects that she was working on including the animated version of Persona 4 as well as both Arena games and several other series. However, the writers provided her with a script that showed her character's potential farther than what was expected. And since then...it was history. Her character was seen as a strong woman who stood up for what she believed in and never let what kind of crazy stop her from accomplishing her goals.

As for what she was doing at the moment....someone happened to look around Pixiv and notice quite a bit of art involving Yukiko dressed in Dante style with her weapons at the ready. And also riding changelings. Smartphones for work...yeah right.

Aquila Johnson | Twilight "Maytwi" Sparkle

Aquila first entered the business as Twilight Sparkle's stunt double in the original My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic show. She also loaned her services in a seemingly minor role as Twilight herself in the production of Mayfield, where she grew surprisingly steadily in popularity. It's thanks to that performance that she got to reprise her role in My Little Jamjar, where the casting agent needed a darker, more action-oriented Twilight to complement the "native" Twilight, as they called it. Aquila didn't mind being casted as the same character so many times; it at least meant she had the dedication and experience to make it work.

But for now, she's just going to smoke a cigarette and stick to the sidelines during the Zetta arc. She was all over the place last month and had the writers give her some time off to recuperate, but she still hangs out around the studios to keep herself in the loop.

Ashley Hirano | Rainbow Dash

A virtual unknown when it came to voice acting, Ashley didn't expect her stint on My Little Jamjar as Rainbow Dash to last too long as she had been considering other career options. However, she was well loved and eventually decided to stay. She's confident in similar ways as her animated counterpart, determined to win regarding games but like Rainbow has learned to be more mature if she loses.

She got along quite well with her other castmates, but took some time off the show briefly for family problems. It was explained that Rainbow had been needed elsewhere, so she couldn't participate in the Equestria Games like she wanted to. Once returning, she was welcomed back with open arms and when she came back, it took no time at all for Rainbow to fly right back into Ponyville.

She's currently taking a break for lunch, dressed in a light blue shirt and dark blue shorts. At least there's no sign of a cutie mark.

Francis Morgan | Dante

Despite the exuberance he displays in front of the camera, Francis is actually incredibly tame and controlled. He has a long history of performing Shakespeare on stage and can often be found rehearsing his lines out in public to maintain his grasp on Dante's wild personality. He's far from the first man to play Dante, but the cartoonish nature of the show lets him explore the character's deeper sides, both the silly and the heartfelt. Even Shakespearean tragedy has its comedy!

For the moment, he has his nose in the script with his lips pursed. Anyone who knows him knows that those lips are a sign of uncertainty.

Natalie Springs | Kreutzer

A fairly fresh newcomer in the acting scene, the aspirational Natalie lends her voice to the character Kreutzer. She'd just come out of acting school when she earned the role and though Kreutzer isn't the most popular of characters, it's still a gig. Frankly, there are worse places for a voice actress to get her start. After all, it's not every day you get an animatronic pony modeled after you!

When she's not chatting it up with the other actors, she'll just be taking selfies with pony counterpart and uploading it to Twitter.
