The blood wouldn't go away. He'd been marked, cursed to have his sins on display. None would accept him, knowing what he'd done in the past. His future was barren, no redemption for someone who'd committed such monstrous acts. All he could do was watch from the outside, shunned by all but those who were even worse monsters than he had once been. He couldn't even die, he'd lost that comfort when he'd been taken from his world.

What could he do, then, but wallow in his impotence and despair? No life, no death, no future...only the past mistakes that would haunt him forever.
