Terra, meanwhile, is just staring up at the little green branch.

"...why is there a plant hanging from the ceiling?"

Oh no. This was... this was bad.

"You... didn't have holiday traditions where you're from, I take it. At least... not mistletoe."

Saying Dust couldn't meet her gaze was rather pointless given his hat, but he couldn't even look her way.

[terraburning]

Terra considers.

"I...only remember...about two months of my life. So I...can't say there aren't any."

[mithrarin]

"If it's any consolation, you remember more of a life than I ever had before I came here." He offered a smile that, while a bit weak, was genuine. "Mistletoe is... well..."

He was, honestly, starting to turn red. Maybe because one of his souls wasn't exactly old. "Two people who meet under it are supposed to kiss."

[terraburning]

"Oh."

Terra considers this for a moment before stepping closer and kissing Dust.

"Like that?"

[mithrarin]

How did she even manage to not whack herself on his hat?

Dust stood there in shocked silence for a very long minute, trying to process this on any level and failing.

"Yeah. Although..."

[terraburning]

Blink blink.

"Although?"

[mithrarin]

"I don't think I..." He paused a moment.

"I didn't exactly kiss you, there. I'm not sure it counted."

[terraburning]

Terra just smiles.

"So...a second one, just to be sure?"

[mithrarin]

"Well, it would be bad luck not to, wouldn't it?"

Fidget would never let him live this down, if she were here to see it.

Terra will just wait patiently for Dust to make the first move.

She had a bit of a wait, as Dust gathered his composure and his courage. But when he did, he acted swiftly and decisively -- stepping forward and tilting his head slightly to plant a proper kiss on her.

What was he doing? He had no idea.
