If it makes you feel any better, it's still a natural color. ...At least where I'm from. To be quite honest, you're the most normal looking person I've seen so far.

[Just about everyone's are, and it's weirding him out. Maybe it's a side effect of being a horse for so long. ...Although ponies don't really have round ears themselves.]

[As if on cue, he swipes a hand through his hair and pushes some aside to reveal that, yes, his ears are distinctively pointed.]

[She steps closer to inspect his ears.]

[Kafei can feel himself blush as she steps closer, becoming quite flustered as his ears gain more attention. A part of him wants to cup his hands over them to keep her from staring, but he resists.

Instead, he tries to turn the focus back on her.]

What do you mean, a "form" of human?

[Drat. She never should've said that. Of course he'd be curious. She really should be careful who she tells, but... she can call Kafei a friend... right?]

Well, alright... where to begin...

...Where I'm from, there are many races. Humans, Humanoids, Icarians, among many others. Icarians are an ancient race which existed in ancient times. They looked just like humans, though they were very powerful, and you could tell them apart because they could summon wings on command.

But the Icarians sacrificed themselves for the humans when Gaia was created, and they used the last of their power to pass their power into two beings whenever Gaia would resurrect. Those two beings... are me and my sister.

[Needless to say, that was not what he expected. There's a short moment where all he can really do is stare at her, mouth agape.

Eventually he realizes he's staring and forces himself to say something, anything.]

I...I see.
