Littlepip paused when she heard the singing. The song sounded sad. If she was creative enough, she could also sing some sad songs. However, now isn't really the time to be thinking about singing. She's going to do what she knows best: Investigate! Because really. If someone's that sad, then wouldn't it be right to help them?

She approaches slowly, making sure not to scare the pony on the hill. "Are you alright...?"

Hearing the other's voice, Chica opened her eyes and looked over at Littlepip. "I'm alright... thanks for asking." She rests her head on her forehooves again. "It's just... strange, getting used to this."

"Yeah... A lot of people here aren't naturally ponies. But there's a lot being done to make sure people here don't have too much trouble... starter funds for the new ponies, natives here that really try to help, and so on...

Just don't pay attention to Quarterhorse Quarterly."

It was a little more complicated than that for Chica, but she couldn't explain all of this to a stranger. It wouldn't be right to put the burden of the knowledge on someone else.

"Quarterhorse Quarterly...?" Starter funds she understood, and the natives and the offworlders, at least.
