Ah, well met, dear conscience! We are the Princess of the Night, her royal majesty Princess Luna. Although we are currently displaced from our kingdom of rule, since this Equestria is not our own. Like thee, we are but a visitor from another realm.

[She held out a hoof to allow the cricket to hop on and take a place on her shoulder much like her pet would have.] Come! Let us speak further in more comfort.

Ah! [He takes a moment to bow.] I wasn't aware I was speaking to royalty!

But it's a pleasure to meet another traveler along the way!

[He takes a huge jump and lands on the hoof. With a few more well-placed hops, he's on the shoulder.]

That's right! The Blue Fairy is incredibly kind and empathetic, but also wise and mature. I imagine a wish-granter such as herself has got to be morally strong like her!

Well, I don't like to brag... [Yes you do.] But I think I've done quite a bit! I helped my pal Pinoc' from going down the wrong path. He's a really nice kid, but a little too innocent.

[He puffs up again.] Luckily, I was able to lead him back to the right path when things went... awry.

We protect the night, raising and lowering the moon every sundown and sunup. And then we travel Equestria with our guard, defending the people as they sleep!
