Only if they do something really worth deserving it. And that happened like, once. And it was because Gaffer egged on and destroyed the summoning stone in the middle of the critical ritual point. They retreated with minimal damage though.

And they were level 3, not 1.

...I'm talking more right at the beginning of the session. Like, you're just starting, your characters go five steps, then BAM everypony dies in three turns just because balrogs are awesome~!

Nope! Because then Gaffer would flay me and steal my dice. And no one touches my dice.

Besides, the dice hates Poindexter enough that even Balrogs at lv 1 would be a welcome change from how much damage his character takes on a regular basis.

Yeah, we've had enough of that in the early days of Oubliette and Ogres anyhow. None of us want to experience that again. Gaffer runs most of our games, although I GM every so often when he wants to play a new character.

Good! Thankfully, I will have you know that I am also a decent GM when I am allowed to do so!

Oh really? We could use another pony in our group. Especially when we need a fifth in the team. We're kind of short on players sometimes.
