The dragon joins her in smelling that alluring aroma that fills the entire bakery. There's a reason this place is damn legendary and that same reason has made Dante into a regular customer. He waves at the Cakes, who greet him and Sunny with waves and bright smiles.

"So...which one made you drool the most?"

"Ah, well the strawberry one with cream and real hand made buttercream frosting is one of them... and the chocolate mountain tier one, and then the Pony Joe special..." Sunny blushed deeply. "I have a weakness for cake..."

"So I see." He smirks. It's adorable, how much she knows about cake and how much she loves them. Giving her a nod, Dante then approaches the counter, where Mrs. Cake is at the ready.

"We're taking two of that strawberry one there with the cream and the hand made buttercream, smells great, by the way, two of that chocolate mountain one and two Pony Joe Specials."

"That's quite a lot..." Even with her stipend secretly increased by the native Celestia for doing all of her paperwork in her stead, she felt a little bad having Dante order that much. "But I suppose it's worth it. Sugarcube Corner is the best after all. It's got the same feel as Pony Joe where I would go every evening to get a coffee and cucumber omelette."

"So you're a Canterlot girl, huh...not surprised, really; you kinda have that air about you." He winks in Sunny's direction before placing several impressive gems on the counter, more than enough to pay the bill.

He reserves a table for the both of them. "Haven't been to Joe's myself, but I hear good things. If it can keep up with this place, then it's gotta be good."

"Yeah, I work in the Royal Court actually," admitted Sunny as she sat down, fighting down a blush. Keep it together Celestia, this is just a lunch. "But I send my daughter to school here in Ponyville, and I often spend time here as well."

"Joe has some fantastic coffee. Possibly better than here." She sent Mrs. Cake a apologetic smile to which the Cake grinned and nodded in agreement. "He's really got a handle on the drinks to go with his food."

"That's why they call it a cup of Joe, right?" He teases.

It's not long before their order is ready for pickup and Dante brings it all to their table. They smell even more delicious up close and Dante can't help but dig a spoon into the strawberry one first. Call it a weakness. "So...must be pretty nice, jumping between here and there whenever you want. Two different kinds of society to choose from and all that."

She sputtered at his joke and giggled merrily. "I guess so!"

Sunny tackled the chocolate first, because what was being a chocoholic if you couldn't indulge after all? "Ah yes, well sometimes it's tiring. I like spending time in Ponyville but my job makes me really tired out at times."

"Must be pretty exhausting. I mean, it's the palace; if there's one place that's busy all the time, it's that one. I'd say Ponyville's a nice, quiet town, but the last thing it is is quiet. Random villains, stuff blowing up, invasions, Pinkie's parties...it's definitely nice, though."

Just gonna take another spoonful. Damn, this strawberry one is good...

"You have no idea. Sometimes I feel like I've just lifted the moon and sun at the same time," grumbled Sunny, taking a vicious bite of her cake from her fork she was holding with a hoof. "I like working there, but sometimes it just gets overwhelming. This is a much easier vacation any day."

"Can't fault you there. Palace work, plus taking care of a kid? Can't imagine it gives you much down time." As a former rascal himself, he knows how crazy kids can get.

"Paperwork, natural born chaos of everypony. And then my sister Moonstone who is dealing with her own issues... Can't imagine what got into her head when she had Trixie..." She mused, shaking her head. With so many Moonstone the Magnificent things going on around home, it was mindboggling Luna even kept up the guise.

"Might've been whatever gets into someone's head, when they have a kid." He replied. Parenthood has a funny way of changing people...and if the parallels he's drawing are that parallel, then this pony just became much more interesting.

"Can't really say I know what that is, but I get the gist of it. You probably know more than I do about that."

"Well, when I had Scootaloo my world went upside down. Almost literally." She laughed lightly. "But I would never give her up for anything. She's my little Morningstar."

"She sure sounds like it." Another spoonful of cake.

"You know, I'm pretty sure she's around in this Equestria, too. Things might not be exactly the same as your Equestria, but for what it's worth, she's plenty fine around here."

"I would like that, to see my daughter. Even if she may not be the same one as well, I would love to talk to her. And see if things might be similar." Sunny smiled at that.
