Well...maybe we should ask around a bit here. Most likely someone lives in this area, so maybe they can tell us what's going on...

I'd hope so! Though all the ponies I've talked to seem to think I'm nuts for some reason.

[One ear flicked slightly, totally not of his own doing. Glancing around, he nodded.]

Yeah...okay. Just uh...stay here, and lemme see if I can find out something, miss...?

[And he goes off to talk to the nearest pony he could find.

[He returns some time later, glancing around until he finds her sitting in the tree. Wondering how she managed to get up there in the first place, he walked over.]

Well...I talked with some of the locals...

What did you find out?

Well... [He hesitates for a moment, still not entirely sure about all of it.]

Apparently, ponies are the natives in this place. Everyone who lives here is some kind of pony...an Earth pony, or a unicorn, or a Pegasus...

And apparently, the locals are pretty used to, uh..."off-worlders"...like you and me...arriving in this town. It's a bit of a problem that's been happening lately.

But when off-worlders arrive, they're turned into one of the kinds of ponies...probably to fit in better...

[He nods.] Her name is Calice...locals also refer to her as the Pale Pony. She's apparently from the future or something, and wants to learn other worlds...

I think they say she came from this world, though. Or sometime in the future of this world.

[She can't exactly hide the relief in her voice.]

That's what it sounds like, yeah.

[Despite the other questions that that had brought up, he hopes that it at least sets her mind at ease.]

From the sound of it, she's not exactly one to listen. Though I guess that doesn't stop people from trying.
