[...Well this certainly is new, isn't it? It isn't new in a good way by any means, and is- in fact- a quite terrible sort of new that's a little hard to wrap your head around, particularly when you've woken up in a technicolor world full of ponies.

Now, see, this wouldn't be so much of a problem if it were just...the ponies themselves. Sure, there are other animals, but it's predominantly pony. He's used to mingling with the freaks of nature to get things done, as repulsive as that tends to be. It's an entirely new thing when you, in fact, are suddenly a freak of nature yourself. And not just any freak. When Roman woke, he stood head and shoulders over the rest of the ponies, a rather large thing with spindly legs.

He was NOT a pony.

Be it far from Roman Torchwick to make a scene, as he ever so carefully straightens himself and begins to walk, keeping his large, narrow head held high over the others, trying to look like he's been here all his life and he isn't actually screaming bloody murder on the inside. As soon as he finds his voice, he plans to stalk right up to...whoever runs this place and demand answers.

Unfortunately for him, it doesn't take long at all for the phony visage to be shattered when an apple dropping from a cart nearby startles him, and before he can control it his body bucks and abruptly kicks the stupid thing, sending it crashing back into the building it was next to. The apples inside tumble out and all over the street, rolling around Roman's legs like pool balls.

...so much for not making a scene.]

[Another day, another apple cart getting smacked into a building. As the apples roll around everyone's hooves and, erm, paws, Teddie - who just so happened to be nearby - awaits for the scolding that's soon to come. He even flinches, holding the pose long enough until it finally dawns on him that he wasn't the one who caused this mess. Slowly opening his eyes, he's not really sure what he's really feeling right now. What do you mean he's not in trouble?! Is this...is this relief?

Jealousy?

...No, it's relief.

About ready to carry on with his usual bear business and write this off as "not his problem", he finally catches a glimpse of the culprit and proceeds to gasp, loudly, and point a paw at the rather large donkey.]

HEY!! I know who you are!!

[Considering that, no, he doesn't, this ought to be good.]

Okay, Cynthia, time to take stock! Item one: you are surrounded by ponies that have apparently mastered the art of building despite not having thumbs. Okay, that's...kind of weird - do they, like...headbutt the nails into place?

Item two: you, yourself, are now a pegasus. Obviously, this makes you both the greatest Pegasus Knight to ever live, and a literal Pega-Pony-Princess.

[What just happened? What just happened! One minute she's falling asleep after a long day of fighting Grimm and being questioned by Professor Oobleck. Next thing she knwos is that she's in some colorful place and she's now a unicorn. A unicorn

How was this even possible. Was she dreaming? Did the White Fang have a guy with some weird Semblance that could do this? Was she just losing her mind cause Yang kept talking and made her unable to sleep?! She didn't understand what in Remnant was happening!

She looked at herself and where she was, clearly trying not to freak out. THen she took a deep breath. Okay, she had to be calm. She had to get to the bottom of this. She had to figure out exactly what was happening, see if her teammates were around, and then get out of whatever this was. So she began walking, searching for anyone who could give her answers.

She could handle this.]

[There's a dog with some sweet red and black highlights and cool yellow shades currently enjoying himself near the Night Market, occasionally walking into an alleyway and sniffing around. Normally, this wouldn't be anything particularly interesting, except for when he eventually looks like he's lost and... asks himself a question. Out loud.]

Man... this is the weirdest food coma dream I've ever had. Most colorful, too.

Either way, the next time you look at it instead of taking a drink or eating out of it, you notice there's...something in it. It's a weird, goldenish-yellow insect-pony, and it's just kind of chilling out in your liquid of choice, arms propped behind its head, eyes closed.]

Whoo! Now this is living! Y'know, I gotta hand it to ya-

[The Breezie opens its eyes to look at you...or, more accurately, it's eye.]

You people with your skin and your bones and all have it made! I mean, sure, you die like gnats and you're about as smart, but there's no sensation like physical sensation!

[Don't mind him as the Breezie just starts swimming circles around your cup or bowl.]

[The dream you're having is probably a good one. In fact, maybe it's wonderful, and you don't really want it to end. The only thing disarming about it, maybe attesting to the fact that it is a dream, are the weird...signs, you guess, that you see sometimes. An eye, carved into objects or in paintings. An eye, just here and there.

But no matter. It's weird, but not enough to ruin the moment of the dream.

Until the dream stops. Not ends...just stops, time stopping with it. And one of the little eye signs glows, and quickly from it comes a happy little pyramid man. He whistles a little at you.]

First off, congratulations on having such sweet digs! I just thought I should tell you, I liked it so much that I thought I'd root around it for a little bit. Y'know, nice as it is, I think you could clean it up a little better. Here. Look what I found!

[And then he makes a motion as if he's throwing something towards you. Like you're meant to see something, but-

But then you're too busy being assailed by something horrible. A fear, or terrible memory, that you had tried to lock away. And perhaps you had, but not well enough Bill couldn't find it. He thinks you should have it back for a bit, because maybe you just lost it, of course.

[It sure is a nice day out. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, a lanky pegasus is crying in the middle of the town.

Seriously, a white pegasus appears to be crying about some unknown thing. He also seems to also have no idea how his front arms work (not pictured: his hat and cutie mark which is just a white star).

In between sobs one might be able to hears something like:]

[Huh, well whatever he's crying about it must be something important! People should bug him or something!]

[A rather deadpan-looking pegasus wanders throughout town, wings stiff as a board, betraying his otherwise-neutral expression. What had just happened? One moment he was returning to Beacon after fighting off the Grimm invading the city, and the next he was face-down in the dirt, suddenly turned into a colorful, winged horse in the middle of a town full of colorful horses. If he didn't know any better, he might say this is the inside of Nora's mind.]

[That couldn't be the case, of course. There weren't enough explosions. Or waffles.]

[Even if it were, that still leaves the question of how to get back to Beacon, or even Remnant in general. There didn't look to be any obvious exit, and questioning locals just gave him sympathetic looks and shrugs. All there really was to do was walk around and hope he either woke up from a strange, Grimm-killing-induced fever dream, or something happened to help explain things.]

[Looks like visiting his village is going to have to wait even longer.]

[As he is walking around town, he might come across a familiar-looking unicorn as she's making a purchase at the market.

If not the unicorn herself, then the shield and spear strapped to her back might be fairly recognizable.

She, however, hasn't seemed to notice him yet, as uses her unicorn magic to levitate her basket.]

There is a little yellow fox wandering around ponyville. Not really anything notable to most ponies, except perhaps the fact that he's in town and not in the woods (or at Fluttershy's house). If one is skilled in illusion magic, however, one can see that the fox is using some sort of magic to hide the fact that it has three tails too many.

New ponies aren't all that odd anymore, but here's one visiting Ponyville and acting like a tourist. "She's" hoping she won't stand out as much more than a visitor, but the fact that she has no cutie mark might get some attention.
Again, if one is skilled in illusion magic, or if one had large amounts of magical power of any sort, or if one is a cleric, monk or any sort of priest/priestess, they can see what the rest can't. This pony has slitted pupils and four fox tails instead of a normal pony tail.

What a weird ass planet. Did Rocket's relatives live here? If they did that would explain why he never talked about this place.

Quill had panicked when he found his body changed on the other end of a blast of light that had interrupted a perfectly good day looking for trouble to beat up. After the body check the walkman check, then equipment; at least those were fine. He half expected his music to now be recordings of neighing and whinnies.

"What the buck is this?!" Oh hey, he could talk still. A look around at his surrounding made it clear he had been separated from his team and his ship. "Aw no! No no no no no!" Abduction? Who the hell would throw him into a horse body? Okay that was redundant. Rocket might if he was pissed enough.

A strange piece of paper floated up towards him then, glowing with words about incoming and outgoing messages. Straightening his posture and adjusting his jacket, he pawed at the option to send a message with his forehoof-thing.

He cleared his throat. "Greetings. This is Star-Lord speaking," he announced with a forced-looking stern expression. "What planet is this and why did you bring me here? If you mean no harm and you need help, I can help you, but you gotta give a warning before you grab a guy first."

His sternness already starts to weaken from strong Drax level to typical Quill. "And if you're an enemy, my friends will be here soon. Better let me go before you get your ass handed to ya. Either way, I demand my face back." He flashes his blaster for good measure and blinks a couple times. "-And my body too while you're at it."

Ok, but that isn't going to stop her from getting to her sister, so since that guy with the reindeer isn't around for some inexplicable reason, she now has a bag of carrots and winter supplies as she asks her way to North Mountain, aka "the mountain where the storm's coming from", as she has been putting it to the ponies who found her. She's currently arguing with a random hapless NPC pony.]

What do you mean snowstorms don't come from mountains? I mean, I know snowstorms don't normally come from mountains, that sounds crazy--

I mean, I'm not crazy, because I know where the one I'm trying to stop is coming from!...No, really, I'm sane. Totally.

His memory of things was a little hazy, though he was pretty sure he wasn't some weirdly colored horse thing beforehand. If he was dreaming, he was seriously going to have to talk to Honey Lemon about some things.

After taking some time to get used to things, he was getting the hang of walking around a bit. Hearing the commotion going on nearby, though, he couldn't help but investigate.]

[The cat grunts in annoyance before she yowls in anger.]

[There seems to be some sort of show going on in the middle of town, if the small crowd is anything to go by. At the center of it all is a minotaur, dressed as a torero. ...Because Equestria loves irony, apparently. In his heavy arms is a guitar he strums at vigorously and is apparently getting really into it. It's almost difficult to ignore all the energy he puts into his playing.]

Let's recap: get out of a war (or at least your part in the Miltian Conflict), survive a grievous wound, and instead of waking up in a hospital room (or any room, Nigredo isn't sure; the pain medication had made it all so fuzzy) after two days of agony and all sorts of doctors, it's Pony World and you're a dragon. Literally a dragon. Literally a dragon. Smooth, black scales and all.

So that's a perfectly decent reason to slink under a cart set up in the central market, right? Right. And perhaps some of it is instinct: look for cover, case your environment. ]

I'm dreaming. [ Only logical explanation. It's some kind of dream. Which, compared to the usual, is surprisingly better than the dark things that have plagued him for the last while.

Unfortunately, fitting under that cart doesn't go all that well, as one might imagine, considering trying to fit under it topples it on its side, spilling everything, and the pony that happens to own it isn't all that happy, making that plenty known. ]

[Anyone watching the skies may catch a glimpse of a Rainbow Dash around Ponyville. This is not the first time she's had wings, when she had gotten them the first time around, she had gotten used to them quickly. Walking on four hooves, not so much. Now, being a full-fledged pony is a first for this Dash in particular.

She appears to be looking for something or someone. The portal or Princess Twilight. Or Twilight's castle.

Anyone who knows Dash well enough may see two changes: her cutie mark is the symbol that is on Pinkie Pie's drums and the two armbands that she always had around her wrists are around her two front legs, resting just above her hooves.

Once she tires of flying everywhere, she lands somewhere in Ponyville and tries not to fall from lack of balance on her hooves.]

Hey, does anyone know where Princess Twilight is?

[Had Dash fallen through the portal? The last thing she can recall is wrapping up practice with her band, the Rainbooms. How the heck she ended up here is a mystery to her, she's hoping Twilight can point her back to the portal.]

She's swearing under her breath as she glances at her hooves, before she tries making her way towards something in the town that looks familiar.

She decides on Sugarcube Corner, because even if she doesn't have any money, some pastries would be welcome by now.

Really.

...there's evading hordes of the undead, and then there's...whatever the heck this is supposed to be.]

Oh! Ohhhhhh my gosh, a new person!

[The pink pony inside Sugarcube Corner vaults over the counter and bounds at her as she enters.]

I don't think I've EVER had a new person come in here! I always have to go find them myself! Oh my gosh, and I'm not even ready!

[Oh hey, its this place again. Yayoi had visited it a few times in the past, but not THIS Equestria, not since the whole 4th wall thing. She mentally catalouged her state, checking her items methodically and noting that she was still mostly dressed. Her skirt was gone, but her sweater and top were still in place.

One thing bothered her though as she fluffed her wings out.]

I should be an alicorn. Why am I not an alicorn? This doesn't make sense; last time I visited an Equestria I was an alicorn!

Princess Mikotsu | Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea

[As you wake up, leave your house, and go about on your daily business, something about your ordinary landscape seems odd. You turn right and see the blue skies, the green grass, and the peach houses, all as they should be. But if you turn right, you'll see a disturbing tinge of red hanging in the air.

It doesn't seem dangerous in particular, but it's certainly... unsettling. Further into the 'red', a bat pony is taking a stroll. Her left eye is bandaged and she has a skeletal fish hanging about on top of her head. The new landscape suits her just fine, as she smiles through her walk in. After all, she's responsible for summoning it.]

Being able to have a nice walk when the sun's out is lovely, isn't it, Princess?

[The skeletal fish speaks to and on behalf of the Princess while she remains silent.]

Ah, it really has been a while... How nice the air feels.

[Hello Ponyville! Today you may stumble across a voice. But not only a voice a voice that is looking around with oohs and ahhs. But then a rather curious one comes about:]

Wait, where are all the people?

[Should one be curious to find the source, their eyes would trace a rather innocuous looking... butterfly. But there's something about the butterfly that is odd. For starters, it's movements followed by a rather pretty trail of glimmering lights. Secondly.]

And why are all the ponies talking?! Is this normal for this place? I don't think I've ever heard of that!

[Yeah. The butterfly is talking.]

[Sigh. She didn't want to make a post to the network, but someone twisted her arm-- er, hoof-- whatever, and she's got to say something.]

... Hi. [Loooong pause.] I'm Blake. [Pause. Damn it Yang why did you make her do this. You know what, let's ask a simple question and get it over with.] Anyone know where the library is? I want to... look at the books they have there.

[And it cuts out right there. Short, simple, and to the point.]

If anyone happened to be near a particular clearing, they might hear a noise. A lot of noises. Like swiping noises and small grunts. Upon getting closer, they might see a weapon similar to a katana split itself and extended like a chain, whipping around and slashing the air. The small weight at the end is being held in the mouth of a white pony with black hair. The speed is pretty moderate; she's still getting the hang of it and affected by the power halving and all that. Eventually she lets go and sends it into the air, where the horn on her head glows and she attempts to levitate the chain and whip it around - unfortunately, due to her lack of experience, this fails completely and she dodged backwards as it landed into the ground. She kicked the ground in agitation and sat down, wore out from all of that.

"Hey that is pretty cool!" Exclaimed Pinkie, balancing on what appeared to be a replica of Nora's hammer. She was standing on one hoof, watching the unicorn practice with a easy grin on her face.

[Another pink Earth pony in Ponyville? Strangely enough, it wasn't another Pinkie Pie at all. The rather large grenade launcher strapped to her back was a clear give away sign and she didn't seem to have much trouble carrying it around. Though this mare might give the others a run for their bits with her energy.

Nora searched high and low as if frantically looking for someone. Finally she hopped onto a big tree branch and did her best sloth call ever.]

Oh c'mon they gotta be here and ooh do I smell pancakes?!

It's about three in the afternoon and he's been waiting for the past... five hours now. Some frequent passerby's may have noticed him earlier, only to find that he hasn't budged at all. In fact, he has a newspaper just next to him over a barrel.]

Hey, top of the morning to ya!

[He's just smiling there... waiting.]

Oh, I already said that to you, huh. Well this day's so good, I'm saying it to you again! So there you go!

[Yeah, he'll be... here for a while.]

[It's another unicorn! A pink unicorn with brown hair wearing a school uniform and roller skates. Not too bad, right? Well, there's also a friggin' lion right beside her who is equally annoyed, slumping down and hiding its head with its paws.]

[There's a growl. "You think?"]

[Night time should be a quiet time, but a few ponies do tend to be out at night. And if you are, you're in for a treat as there's a couple of ponies tied up to a lamppost. And looming over a rooftop is a mysterious, shadowy figure looking like a giant batpony. A few seconds later, he's off!

This definitely wasn't anywhere she knew. Not at all. But what was even more odd was the fact that there were no humans here - just a bunch of ponies and other animals! Which wasn't bad at all; she loved animals! Just... she never thought she'd become one!

A brown lop-eared bunny is seen hopping around Ponyville, very much lost. As much as she wants to say something, she isn't quite sure what. It might take someone else breaking the ice and asking her what's up, as she has a very worried look on her face. She just arrived from a very... unpleasant place, and isn't sure if this is just another trap the city has laid out for her...

Well at least she wasn't alone in this regard. There was a orange-and-red maned mare looking around with a slight resigned expression before she almost bumped into Chiyo. "Oh, pardon me," she said.

[How would one go about conquering the world? It's a large place and it's doubtful that any normal person, in any single lifetime, could see all the lands on it let alone rule over it. Conquest begins with half of the world. To conquer the half of the world, one would need to conquer the half of that. And the half of that. And so on and so forth until we've reached the point of a single 'town'.

Having turned into a pony was trivial. What was important was that Equestria was as corrupt as any other land and it was in need of the shining leadership of Lord Il Palazzo. Since day one, that was Excel's dream, and even if she was alone in her pursuit, Ponyville will be conquered. No, it was because she was alone that she could do it, right?

That's what she thought as she sneaked out the back of the burning bakery, tiptoeing out as if nothing was amiss.]
