The classic- your character admits to something they haven't done, and other characters drink/put down a finger/high five them if they have done the thing your character hasn't. See how awful your friends truly are or realize you both haven't done anything fun ~~NERDS~~

Instead of saying what they haven't done, your character blurts out a confession of something they have done. Other characters drink if they have done said thing and can too share in the shame. Commiserate together by seeing what awful people you are/see how awful you are in comparison to your friends!

FOR... however long your thread goes, your character is now compelled to tell the truth when asked a question, no exceptions. Whether or not this compulsive truth telling applies to the asker is up to you!

There's no drinking rule on this one because they'll probably be trying to drink the pain away anyway.

You'll have one in due time. As romantic as a relationship can be portrayed, they tend to be disappointing.

I know it's not always perfect like the dramas and stuff, but it'd be nice to try it for real.

It's like everyone I've ever liked ends up liking someone else.

[Oh, dear. This is getting into some of her damage from That Other Place, and tears are starting to form before she can stop them. Even in a place where she's back together with some of her most important friends, it's hard to forget what she went through for a whole year...]

[She's going to get a tissue and offer it with her hoof.]

No, you can lose everyone you care about over and over, and in more ways than just cutting ties. Honestly, if they made dramas more realistic, you would see, but at the same time, no one would watch it since it seems hopeless.

[Wow, Naomi you're terrible at comforting sad young girls. She does appreciate the tissue, though, and dabs at her eyes a little to keep the tears from streaming down.]

Aren't you supposed to say stuff like "it'll all work out eventually"? Saying it like that makes it sound really hopeless...

[But she doesn't sound like she's arguing it. She does understand what Naomi's trying to say, after all. It's just. Wow. Could have cushioned the blow a little.]

I could, but I would be effectively lying. I had to rebuild my life after it came apart multiple times, and it makes me bitter to most optimism. I found as long as you strive for life, step out into the world and introduce yourself, you'll meet the one; the someone who always has you on his or her mind on a good or bad day, wondering what you both could do, or just curious about how you're doing.

You're still able to try those early relationships that maybe things will go the distance, or perhaps you'll decide to break apart. Most of the time, you date who you think will be 'that one' and find out there are particular weak points just can't get over like... my first boyfriend, terrible sense of humor and he would get mad over the smallest thing. Everyone around me thought he was the sweetest and just couldn't believe it when I dumped him. Three friends down the drain who were only interested about the guy.

Yes... and there will always be bad ones here and there. And then you find one... like I did when I was an undergraduate. We went onto medical school together and worked at the same hospital where he eventually proposed.

[Warnings about bad relationships and how things don't always work out have been duly received and noted, but that story sounds seriously adorable. She's right back to sparkles in her eyes and dreamy sighs at the thought.]

No. He was the one who disappeared when the going got too tough for him. You can end up meeting guys like that. As for the one that worked out - has been working out - I met a few years ago now.

[So much heartbreak and betrayal! She knew stuff like that would happen, but it's getting harder to just daydream about an idealized future relationship now that Naomi brought all this realism in. Her innocent maiden's heart is compromised!]
