"Starless Night, no! I've had more than enough of the Gala for several lifetimes, thank you!"

"Haven't we all." Discord throws an arm around Blueblood's shoulders companionably, sticking his tongue in his mane like a flower. "I QUITE enjoy a good spot of chaos - as you may know - but dark magic gives me the worst indigestion! I half think the stuff they were serving wasn't even fresh!"

That makes it click. He eyes Discord, one brow raised to the stratosphere, before speaking slowly. In the manner of one discussing his problems to a stuffed animal.

"I have seen the Gala crash and burn in fire and in ice. Once, in groundhogs. That was a strange one. And I saw Canterlot burn in Balefire. But I've yet to see a Gala destroyed by black magic."

He sits. "You've got my attention. Where - WHEN am I?"

[discorderly]

"I'd consider Balefire to be reasonably dark magic," Discord opines with a shrug, "but whatever. This is Ponyville, and I'm fairly certain it's Tuesday. But then I don't own a calendar."

He leans down and whispers, in the fashion of one telling a secret: "Time doesn't really exist."

"That's a great deal more useful than I think you intended."

The Gala was on Sunday, in honor of the Princess.

"I'm free," he says to no one in particular.

[discorderly]

"You're FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!!!" Discord cries in response, and grabs Blueblood by the forelegs to swing him around a few times.

And then toss him out the (thankfully open) bar window.
