[It's a lovely winter day, a few clouds in the sky, snow covering the ground, and there's a blue pegasus flying about -not Rainbow Dash blue, though, more like a teal-, trying to adapt to a few..changes to her body.

Judging by the occasional smacking into things and having trouble keeping herself aloft, Nephenee's not doing too bad, we suppose. But she's trying really hard to get used to this! She really is!

[Applejack's seen this reaction many a time before. The gentle farmpony approaches slowly, doing her best not to startle her.]

Anyway, the pony who gets the blame is Calice, a pony trying to swallow up everything. They say she's not really evil, just hurt, and we're supposed to try and help her...but it's awfully worrisome for us all the same.

Changing forms is just a side effect of landing here.

It's a quiet, sunny day, and Pierrot finally managed to "hitch a ride" on a passing cloud. So, in true local Pegasus style, the clownpony decided to simply enjoy the afternoon and take a nap. But his ears twitched, some distant sound preventing him from true sleep.

Is that... screaming?

That's the way this Equestria works.

[Jappleack shrugs, rising up on her hind legs and leaning against a tree as she does so. It's a surprisingly fluid and human motion, and one she seems to be able to do with ease.]

I dunno. There's humans all over the place in my world, dunno why this one's decided you've all gotta be ponies too or other shit. Just one of those things, I guess.

Ok. That settles it. God hates me. I had no idea how much until this moment, I sorta suspected it, but nahhh. This is it, right here.

[There is a cat just quietly stalking about town. It's slick, lean takes it easily through the streets as it walks and curls about corners, sometimes just hanging its head from around a corner of a building and staring at ponies on the other side. It's behavior, while not entirely strange, still is different enough from being naturally cat-like that it could raise suspicion. It doesn't help that it has the markings of a wild cat, albeit a relatively small one.

To be fair, Sakaki isn't trying to stalk, but it's hard not to. She wishes she could patter, like a kitten, but pattering just isn't something she can make herself do, even now that she's a...cat. She can't believe that. Even more than being trapped in the world of adorable, talking colorful horses, the fact that she is a cat is the part that is weird to her. In a sense, it should be delightful. But really it's hard to enjoy, even though she's taken to the more acrobatic parts of being a cat with ease, demonstrated by how she easily jumps from a trashcan top to a windowsill as she continues her...'investigation' of the ponies.

Ponies. Talking ponies.

Talking, multi-colored ponies.

Talking, multi-colored ponies who live in cute little houses and have jobs and sing.

It would be easy, if one caught her, to mistake the look Sakaki is giving the ponies she's watching right now as a look of ferocity. Of sternness, befitting the wild cat she looks like.

In reality it's a look born of her glazed over mind as her brain melts into a happy stew as she tries to fully fathom what's happening. Obviously, she's dreaming, a very happy one, but maybe...maybe...

No. It'd be dumb to really think she's wandered into another world. She isn't a little kid anymore.

But still...

She leans closer off the windowsill, looking more and more at the ponies near her. Maybe...maybe she could just go and say hi? Could she do that? She's a cat after all, but they are ponies and they're talking so...so maybe...

And that's when she overextends herself as she cranes her neck over the windowsill and falls right onto the trashcan she had used to get up there, a metallic clang and kitty yowl resounding through the area so loudly it's impossible to ignore.

When anyone actually does bother to look in the direction of the noise, they'll see a wild-looking cat running frantically around in a circle near the trashcan it knocked over. Clearly the cat is mad or dangerous, and not just scared out of its wits at the fall and noise. Clearly.]

It's the major country here. In this world. Apparently. Kind of more a...federation, where I'm from, but whatever.

Psh, yeah, about that horseshit...it depends. Some can say a lot of curses, some can say none. I got lucky, though it still won't let me drop the big one, which sucks like a pluckerhugger.

See that? I keep saying dumb crap instead of getting to drop what I want. It's the most annoying damn thing ever.

Well, less 'screaming', more lots of surprised yelping, but it's probably nothing...

Huh. It seems to be getting a little closer...a familiar voice is, anyway.

"Nononono...oh, alright...feathers like..that?" There's a split second of quiet, before a clear, happy laugh fills the air, a little higher up now. "Oh, so that's how ya do it! Well, reckon that makes things easi-"

And then that happy laugh turns into hollering, because while the owner figured out how to catch an updraft? She hasn't figured out how to deal with other air currents yet! So Pierrot gets to hear quickly descending shout "Hooooorsefeaaaath-!", possibly catching a glimpse of a blue pony careening towards the ground, and then leaves and branches cracking as she crashes.

Ooops.

Well. Federation probably isn't the right word. More like we're a part of the southern US, but not the US it's...kind of a shit show to explain.

Oh that? Yeah, I'm kind of...well. Let me put it this way.

This is a nice Equestria. Most Equestrias are nice Equestrias.

[That questioning tone in her voice? That tone, that sounds like it's trying to play some silly billy bullshit game while the cat just sits there, still and poised, back straight like it thinks it's hot shit?

Really is Sakaki just wondering if she can talk. Oh hey, she can. Her tail goes straight upright, and then loosens, as she adjusts to the surprise of her own voice. This is getting surreal.

She sure hopes the pony she's talking to can tell that she wasn't trying to question her.]

Um. So. There's, like, what, a Canadian Ponyville?

Ok. Good. This place is getting to me enough as it is. Ok. So ponies...talk. I talk, obviously, I'm a pony, for some bucking reason. But I can still be Hi...uh, myself, I guess.

[Mental checklist. Ponies talk. Right. Cat thing that could try to eat her but it better not TRY after the day she's been having can talk, check. Bearings? All over the place. Woo hoo.]

[Instinctively, Sakaki feels her back straighten and her tail swish and curl at the call, her head whirling around to look at where the voice is coming from. It could cut quite a fearsome figure, the proud Iriomote standing there, staring at the pony.

In reality, Sakaki is just dumbfounded at what to do. Should...should she go to the pony calling her? What if the pony wants to pet her? Does Sakaki know what to do when pet? Is she a good cat to pet?

Truly, these are the dilemmas all cats must face, and Sakaki is gaining a greater and greater appreciation for them.]
