Amulet? [She pauses for a moment until she remembers her gem, glancing down at it and then back up at Trixie.]

I was born with it? Adagio and Aria have them, too, they don't really do anything unless we're feeding. [Which meant using her abilities, but she's not about to entirely give that away.]

But I'm not doing that right now, so it's pretty much dormant! [Though Trixie does get a nice look at those particularly sharp incisors of her's.]

[Woah, first person. Trixie considers this serious enough to drop all the ego and theatrics for now.]

Be very, very careful with it. If, at all, you think it's corrupting you, take it off and destroy it. And please, please> be sure to know everything about it. I've had enough corruptive amulets in my life... I don't need a third.

[Excuse her, she's just going to laugh at that and splash the water with her fin.]

Corrupted? Psh, don't even get me started on corruption. Listen to me very closely, I'm centuries older than you are, little pony, if this was corrupted I'd already be an evil crazy creature by now. Buuuut I'm not.

It takes in negative energy and uses it to sustain me, it's not evil. You clearly haven't met a siren in your lifetime.

[She climbs out of the fountain again, shifting back to the four-legged form and prances off just a little distance.]

Not that I expect any of you little ponies to, this place has certainly changed since last I saw it.

[That sounds... a little suspect, but not as suspicious as she thought it would be. When she speaks again, relief can be heard in her voice.]

Oh, good... And indeed, there has been much change around here since you've last visited.

[Trixie's only going off of what this siren's saying. Her words say that she's visited here before and is over centuries old. It's only logical to make the connection that she was banished for possibly a long time.]

The most notable changes you would most likely notice are The Night Market and The Commune.

[Oh, good, she's not pushing the fact. That actually gets Sonata to calm right down again and go back to being friendly. In fact she sits once more to chat, blowing a bit of mane out of her face.]

Night Market and Commune? I can guess what they are based on names alone, but I could be wrong...? [Though she is absolutely curious about them, wanting to know just how much she's missed in the time she's been gone.]

[Trixie also seems to calm down as well.]

The Night Market, founded by an outsider Princess Luna, and the Commune, a place where many an offworlder pony choose to make their home. Both built within the recent years after Calice began bringing said outsiders to this land, which would happen to have taken place shortly after the coronation of The Sparkled One.

Princess Luna and a place where offworlders make their homes? Doesn't sound all that exciting.

[But the talk of a coronation captures her interest almost immediately, thumping her front hooves against the ground in her excitement.]

A coronation! I didn't know such things were possible, last I knew there were only two princesses andandand there was no such thing as a Sparkled One?

There are but four: The Princeses of the Day and Night, Princess Celestia and Luna, then Princess Cadance and Princess Twilight Sparkle.

[Okay, the first two she recognizes. The third, not so much, and then she stops dead in her tracks on the fourth.

That name.]

That obnoxious thing is a princess!

Obnoxious? Trixie can hardly say so. The Sparkled One hath done nothing to aggravate The Great and Powerful Trixie.

Uuuuugh, well lucky you! She does nothing but get in my and my sisters' ways ever since we got there.

Have you not simply tried explaining what you were trying to accomplish and why it would be a good thing? Trixie sees not The Sparkled One being disruptive without any good reason.

Something about causing trouble in the school or something, I mean, is it not allowed for us to do what we have to to sustain ourselves? It seems awfully rude to me.

And for what actions seemed disruptive enough? You will tell Trixie of just what exactly is this negative energy you so require in order to allow yourself a continued existence.
