So because I'm sure it's at the front of everyone's minds, what with shadowplot and all..

• What are your characters' Hearth's Warming* plans? This can also be a post where you plot Hearth's Warming plans with other people.
• What are your characters getting their CR for Hearth's Warming*? If someone's at a loss of what to do, this could also be a good place to handwave some conversations and/or tell a mun OOCly what your characters like.

*Replace "Hearth's Warming" with Christmas, Hanukkah (although it's going to be a very late Hanukkah), Kwanzaa, Festivus, Pretend to Be a Time Traveler Day, winter solstice, or any number of holidays from your character's world, if you wish.

All York wants for Christmas Hearth's Warming is a carton of cigarettes, a basket of biscuits, and a handful of nostalgic 80's films to sit down and laugh at.

This may factor into plans he has later for Movie Parties. What better way to spend a snowy evening than munching on popcorn and ripping into Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes?

Anthpony is still a stranger in a temporally- and spacially-strange land - he probably doesn't even know it's December quite yet, let alone what Decembers tend to entail in the modern version of his home world, let alone what Hearth's Warming is or what it entails!

Not that he's averse to finding out, out of acute curiosity.

Handy has been wanting a proper Christmas -- if it hadn't been for the death and so forth (and my forgetfulness), he probably would have gone to town decorating the commune this week. With Bertie and Pollo dead and Handy having gone through the emotional wringer with his own shadow he's not so enthusiastic, though he'd still probably try to put something together even under present circumstances. When they come back, man, he needs to go nuts trying to put together a Christmas on short notice.

Arcee doesn't understand holidays that don't celebrate important victories or what have you, she finds them pointless. So chances are she's going to be thinking everyone is being a big dumb. And will probably be reminded of Earth. It's not like she misses anyone there b-baka. ...Although now that I think about it, unlike Christmas, she might be a little more understanding towards Hearth's Warming since it does sound more like a victory than magic Santamans do. Either way, someone might need to help her out since she's still not 100% adjusted to civilian life. ...As a cat no less. You don't have a lot of time to celebrate in war.

Also someone should make her a sweater. She needs to stay warm this winter. Don't judge me.

Donna will help with this, though her impression of Christmas is pretty poor. I mean, you almost get fed to spider monsters once and it just ruins things. Hearth's warming she can get into, though!

Bertie would also love a proper Christmas and try to help out.

Since there are so many ponies on the commune now, Donna is going to suggest a secret Santa style of gift giving so they don't all go bankrupt and no pony gets left out who wants in. Once Bertie and Pollo come back, I'll have her set that up ICly and run a RNG list of participants to let everybody know who they got via PM. Have fun trading gifts, then!

Bertie, meanwhile, will be recently risen from the dead and all about the YAY, NOT DEAD party thing. He's just going to try to not think about the fact that he got murdered and try to cheer everyone else up, which is, of course, the healthiest coping mechanism ever. Happy during the day will make up for the nightmares, anyway. So, he'll be 110% good cheer at every pony over the holiday and trying to make up to those that his shadow harassed.

He'll help out with any decorating that goes on at the commune, particularly hanging lights and garlands.

On top of being a filthy changeling, Hain doesn't believe in such disgusting pony concepts as "love conquering all" and "the chill of winter". He may actually get a few ponies something.

Ah, but Hain, he can die. He just doesn't stay dead. Dying was horrifying. How about we talk about Hearth's Warming? Do changelings celebrate Hearth's Warming? They really ought to. And so forth... I would totally be up for some more Hain/Bertie interaction, though! When he actually breaks down, he'll likely want it not in front of his closer friends... Though Hain may find himself getting moved toward the friend category if he offers free therapy.

Ah, different type of Secret Santa! Considering Anna's seems to be only Cynthia getting things for other folks. This would be just the traditional office-style Secret Santa where people draw names from a hat and get a gift for the person they draw.

Aside from the letter he's going to write to Luna (since Celestia is out) this Monday/Tuesday, Tails might make something for her, but he doesn't know if he'll be allowed to do that. He knows there's no way he could buy a gift expensive enough for royalty to be a proper gift.

Also, since he has his persona back which he won't be able to use for much longer, Tails will be having some good dreams about his persona again. So at least she won't have to watch his dreams for a while.

Lets go down the list.

Gentarou will be making up a huge christmas thing. Gift giving is a big thing in Japan so is finding a date but he's still derpy about that and will probably find Mako, Yayoi, Utchy, et-all and get them presents. Leave a comment if your character wants a Gen present.

Ako will be spending her time wherever the Apples do their things. She's been bonding with Apple Bloom off-screen and is pleased as punch to know that Nozomi found someone special in a friend-related sort of way to spend time with.

Lyra does what she does every year: put up a tree, get gifts for ponies alike and go to the play in Canterlot. She doesn't have much outsider CR but can totally invite Trixie and Elena and the Flutters and Co over for dinner if they want.

Flash and Pinkie will spend their holidays together jointly with people, Maytwi, the other Pinkies and Cakes, Lucia, etc. There'll be a big big big-fuckhuge christmas party at the Cakes when the 25th rolls around for anyone who wants to crash it too. So be looking out for that too.

If Aleph learns that there's a holiday on, that it involves giving gifts, and that it is not run by a giant yellow head of a tyrant, he may actually get Zetta something out of demon (summoner) solidarity. Or something.

I don't know what he'd want. He has a castle, right? Is it in need of repainting? Aleph might just show up and offer to repaint parts. He's good for manual labor.
