Shut up!! [ Well aware of what she's doing, Kyouko drops out of the tree and decks Homura across the face. She doesn't quite stick, the landing, though.

Wobbling, she gets back on her hooves to stare daggers at Homura. ] I knew what I was getting into, okay? I knew that I stood as much of a chance as her. But she wasn't going to be that evil thing longer than she had to! Not if I had anything to bucking say about it!

...Heh.

[A strange smile starts to cross Homura's face. She didn't even bother flinching from the hit.]

I see. I'll admit, dying for someone you care for...

[Quietly, she flips her hair. Slowly, almost methodically, as the bruise on her face, as quickly as it appeared, disappeared.]

...Even if I disagree that your death act truly helped in that moment, you were more successful at it than I was. Its a noble thing, I suppose. But should you really call what Sayaka became 'evil'?

She was suffering. [ She knows that much. ] It doesn't matter. It's done. [ She sits dejected on the grass, turned away from Homura. ] And now we're here, and... I dunno.

[ She picks at the grass in front of her and tries chewing on it. Surprisingly edible. She supposes her entire biology has changed, which is beyond weird. ] I dunno where here is, but at least... at least Sayaka's dead.

[She is quiet for a moment, the smile faltering. It was hard to be diabolical and boastful and superior and evil, when the person you're arguing with isn't as much of a hard-headed zealot about things like the last person you acted such towards.]

Its never done.

[The swirls in the air, like a Van Gogh, quietly dance away from the two, dissipating into the air, like waves into the sea.

Instead, she takes a breath through her nostrils.]

This place...isn't like any Earth. The curses exist, but they aren't like ours. Simpler. Less burdensome. And the monsters...those that aren't misguided or stubborn are simply mindless animals, in the end.

[Filling, but hardly pleasurable to partake in. Like hospital soup.]

Great. Another system. [ Kyouko realizes she doesn't have a taste for it anymore. ] You fight them. I could give a buck.

[A shrug.]

I have almost no need for whatever these animals might drop myself. In any case, you're wrong; there's no system here for it.

Well, the monsters, then. [ She throws her hooves in the air, weakly. ] Whatever. I don't think I have a soul gem anymore, so I don't need grief seeds.

Fight them or don't. I don't care.

[Homura, at least, didn't believe that.]

But, if that were true, you should not exist.

You saying I should off myself? Yeah, right. [ She shoots an irritated look at Homura. ] Cause your plans always work out so well.

[ Homura's shaken her out of her moroseness, at least a little. ] I'm not goin' anywhere, jerk. We'll just have to deal with each other.

If that's what you wish for my words to mean, very well.

...Hm.

[And then, like the sound and sight of a record scratch, Homura was a unicorn.]

I guess it can't be helped.

[ Kyouko observes the transformation, and notices with some indignance that Homura's a unicorn, too. Which makes her the only magical girl here who can't use magic. ]

Hey, teach me how to do that.

[Of course. A dragon, who can disguise itself as an innocent pony.]

I don't know if that's possible. Can you use magic?
