"Yeah, we're both talking ponies!" Even though she should be freaking out about that part, she isn't. She thinks that this is awesome, too!

"I'm Sasami. What's your name?"

Hayate ruffles her wings experimentally.

"I'm Hayate!"

Full extension, a flap, and then she draws her wings back in.

"Well, I've finally got my wings back, so...eh. Hands were overrated anyway!"

"Hayate..." Sasami shook her head a bit. Not the one she knew.

"...wait, you could fly before?"

"Of course!"

Extend right wing, flap, tuck in, repeat with left wing. Stand on hind legs, full extension, rotate wings, back to all fours.

"Hm. Not quite the same length as my old wings. Probably can't glide as well, but I should be able to get some really nice dives going!"

[saint_sami]

"Wow... I wish I could do that, but I'm quite happy with what I have right now."

Still, she wishes she could fly. That looked so amazing...! Then again, she's only 8 plus 700.

Hayate peers closely at Sasami.

"Hm...you're tiny. I could probably give you a ride on my back, if you wanted?"

[saint_sami]

"You wouldn't mind? Really?"

Aw, look at her eyes widen and smile just grow. "Please?"

Crouch down, extend wings, winning smile.

"Hop on and hang tight, okay?"

[saint_sami]

"Okay!"

Sasami's quick to run up and hop on, hanging on to Hayate as tight as she can without harming her.

Hayate flaps her wings experimentally, making sure she's still got a free range of movement. Satisfied with the results, she shifts her hooves a little to get into proper position, and with a mighty leap aided by her new wings she dashes into the air.

The takeoff isn't quite as vertical as her previous one - she has a passenger, after all - but it isn't long before she's soaring above the town, laughing with delight.

It takes Sasami by surprise a bit - she isn't used to doing something like this and there's just a little bit of worry and fear, but soon, she's joining in with the laugh, having the time of her life doing so.

"Oh, wow, this is fun!" she said, laughing.

"Isn't it?! I don't know how you mortals stand it, plodding around on the ground all the time!"

...'mortals'?
