Let's recap: get out of a war (or at least your part in the Miltian Conflict), survive a grievous wound, and instead of waking up in a hospital room (or any room, Nigredo isn't sure; the pain medication had made it all so fuzzy) after two days of agony and all sorts of doctors, it's Pony World and you're a dragon. Literally a dragon. Literally a dragon. Smooth, black scales and all.

So that's a perfectly decent reason to slink under a cart set up in the central market, right? Right. And perhaps some of it is instinct: look for cover, case your environment. ]

I'm dreaming. [ Only logical explanation. It's some kind of dream. Which, compared to the usual, is surprisingly better than the dark things that have plagued him for the last while.

Unfortunately, fitting under that cart doesn't go all that well, as one might imagine, considering trying to fit under it topples it on its side, spilling everything, and the pony that happens to own it isn't all that happy, making that plenty known. ]
