Naoto Shirogane ⊗ Persona 4 Golden ⊗ OU
"Alright... you know you can do this. Just flap your wings enough to lift off... keep the beat together..."
Closing her eyes helped her concentrate and focus on the muscles and bones working in her back. Slowly, they rose and fell, wings scooping air for a moment out-of-sync with each other, but falling into a rhythm across the shoulders. Once together, she began moving them faster. Naoto doesn't feel her hooves leave the ground; she's solely focused on learning to use the wings she now had as they should prove pivotal into this on-going investigation into the Pale Pony as well as they return home.
Someone may want to tell her to open her eyes though as she was getting pretty far from the ground. Considering she was working on flying, she was nowhere near experienced with landing.
o hai there
Another blue pegasus has taken notice on the... odd flight form of this other pony, and figures he'd better say something before they inevitably crash.
suuup
She peeks with one eye, but then opens the second when she sees Minato. His mane was a bit longer, but he's kinda oddly similar in coat and mane coloration to her.
no subject
"Just remember to save some attention for landing." Minato points down with a hoof to indicate that they were in the air, and then readies himself to catch her if she panics.
no subject
Don't panic, don't panic, her wings continues flapping, but they're going faster. Worse, her legs tuck up. "O-Okay, how do I get down?"
no subject
"Calm down. Stretch your legs and wings out and keep them there. We'll glide down."
He demonstrates the position to give her an idea of what he's talking about.
no subject
It felt like her joints were popping as she attempts to extend them again, wings wobbling, but holding flat. Glide, glide...! Her wings twitch, but she holds.
no subject
"Good. Use your head to steer if you need."
no subject
No one had mentioned that before. Still, she turns it slightly and finds herself listing to the right.
no subject
He tucks his wings in to land first, looknig back up into the air to make sure she lands properly.
no subject
"... Thank you."
no subject
"No problem. You're new here, I take it?"
no subject
Wings flapping a few more times, they soon tuck against her back. "I really should have taken some... pony's help, or at least, ask for a spotter."

With no wings, not even a horn to speak of, Kanji couldn't offer too much. But as he trot over the snow-covered grass and tried to fight the weird wobbly somersaults in his stomach, the least he could do is offer a handmade pair of goggles in case of rain or snow, now hanging from his mouth.
...Only, she'd taken off already. Were her eyes closed?! An icy ball sprouting to life in his stomach, he kicked up snow when he picked up into a run.
"O-oi...!"
no subject
"Hold on, Kanji-kun..."
She was trying to focus. "Has there be a new development?" Because obviously, if one was going to interrupt a friend in the middle of something, it would be important. Feeling something against her hooves, she tentatively slowed her wings and allowed her feet to plant down. Not bad for a few inches off the ground.
no subject
"N-nah, nothin' yet. We're still goin' over what we saw. I-I, uh, figured you'd need somethin' like these! A lotta pegasi I've talked to said some eye protection's handy."
An awkward pause later, he extended the hoof. "They should fit... b-but there's some straps in the sides with the clasps that can make 'em real tight for faster flight when ya get the hang of it!"
no subject
Taking them into her own hoof, she examined them closer. There was no harm in trying them on for now. Strap in her mouth, she took off her hat. "Hold this for a moment."
no subject
But then he thought of people walking on their hands and knees and he was letting his mind wander again. He shook his head to clear it.
"Y-yeah, it's kinda weird to think about how... punctual the pegasi are, y'know? We're used to weather reports, but ya ask any of 'em with wings and they'll tell ya, 'oh it'll rain on Tuesday, and to balance it out we'll put some sunshine up over the weekend'."
Ooh, that reminds him- "You ever think about doin' that? Seems like everything around here's pony-controlled."
no subject
"Since they control the weather, they have to be on time. And if there's a schedule, who knows what they have to do to make up for a missed day..." Though, that wouldn't be too bad, right? Goggles on comfortably, she lowered her hoof and immediately felt much more balanced.
"I've thought about it. I stood on a cloud and broke another. Still, something about manipulating the weather myself, and how everything is pony-controlled strikes me as odd."
no subject
What a scary thought. As he learned about each of the three kinds of ponies, he was learning how important even wingless, hornless ones like him were.
no subject
Turning her head, she could make out some ponies in the distance and imagined if one group was missing. Things would certainly be less colorful... "... Would this world cease to function without one of the three? It's a dangerous thought."
no subject
Unicorns were slight, not too strong of body. Pegasi weren't magical, save for being able to grant themselves lift with small wings and manipulate weather in subtle ways. Earth ponies, while grounded and without magic, could move mountains and maintain the health of the very world beneath them, growing crops and the like. Heck, he'd learned the Winter Wrap-Up disallowed magic use!
"Wouldn't hurt to ask 'em, but... I-I've only seen one or two of 'em briefly... never got to talk to 'em." His face fell. They looked so awesome, but what if some stupid bodyguards jumped him for coming too close like he was some kind of thug?
no subject
"... The next time we see one of them, we should ask. Though, there should be some way to seek audience with them to ask a few questions. Then again, they may take our simple inquiries as insults and have us thrown out or imprisoned..." She still needed to study up on the monarchy - no, it couldn't be a monarchy in the proper term - on the royal lineage here and how everything worked. "We may be better hoping by chance we see on of them in Ponyville..."
no subject
"No, man, get this: Every native and off-worlder here has nothin' but damn glowing things to say about the princesses. They ain't born in this world- they're made, after they've grown as a person a bunch... kinda like our Personas."
But with a shrug he looked away. "Trick is workin' out where they are right now. They seem weirdly neighborly, but two of 'em kinda control the sun n' moon rising and falling. That'd make 'em pretty busy."
no subject
"So they just move around..." And her voice trailed, eyes opening a margin wider in disbelief. "The sun and moon? Does that mean this planet doesn't have a normal rotation pattern??"
That's a nerve-wracking thought. The planet's overall well-being was in the hand of two Princesses.
