Twilight Sparkle | MLP:FiM (Magical Pony Lyrical Twilight AU)

1) [There's a Twilight wandering around Ponyville, though this one's... sorta different? It's not a winged one, so it's not the Princess, but this one's wearing a red jeweled pendant of sorts. Either way, she seems just a bit out of place here. Care to poke her?]

2) [Maybe there was something you wanted to do with this Twilight - plans, places to go, maybe to talk - yet, when you run into her, she's just... staring off into space, lost except for maybe the red-jeweled item around her neck softly glowing. Is she alright?]

3) [Whoops! Looks like troubles brewing and a few unsavory figures have decided to cause trouble. With a sigh, Twilight shakes her head.]

I really hoped it wouldn't come to this, but it looks like it can't be helped. Raising Heart, please!

[AFFIRMATIVE. SET UP, READY.]

[Suddenly, Twilight finds herself clothed in a magical garb that looks like a purple version of her Gala dress with a jacket over it. The jewel itself transformed into a white staff with a golden staff head, the jewel enlarged and in the center of the item.]

Let's go!

[That last little bit did catch her off-guard.] Wait, what do you mean by that?

[If there was another herself around under mysterious circumstances, it was important for this world's to get to know her - for several reasons, one being curiosity at how other Equestria might have diverged from this one, or diverged long ago and still somehow managed to come out very similarly or you get the idea. Another was the possibility that her unique experiences might provide some insight as to what could be done about this situation.

It was, in short, time for an Interview Tea.]

I'm pretty sure you probably would've preferred to have this talk right when you saw me, but there's a lot going on here that's pretty serious, so I thought you might...

[It took awhile for Twilight to get back to reality, but when she finally did, she couldn't help but blink, yelp, then blush furiously. Someone was talking to her and she'd zone out in favor of quick mental training when they showed up.]

Oh, jeez, I'm sorry! I hadn't realized you'd get here so fast and I decided to do a bit of training before I talked to you.

[She grinned sheepishly before shaking her head.]

(This particular Trixie Lulamoon sprinkles some ground red pepper on a green apple and takes a bite, her eyes never straying too far from this newest iteration of her sometimes rival.)

May I ask you some questions, starting with 'what do you remember about me in particular and Ponyville in general?'

[Oh, look, it's a new unicorn pony! He sports a white coat, a white flyaway mane, and goggles over his head. As for a cutie mark? It's a marking shaped like the flux capacitor.

He's taking everything in with wild eyes, looking more than a little overstimulated.]

Insomnia's one hell of a drug...or is it a fever dream? This can't possibly be the future? I'm...equine!

[He holds out his hoof and gapes at it, glancing at the nearby ponies.]

But that's illogical! Unheard of! Not inconceivable, but improbable to be sure. Could someone explain this malarkey?

[He frowns. He meant to say another word. A sharper word. But whatever's messed with his physical form must have also held his tongue. Not a great start.]

IT'S THE FUTURE!

[Discord crows, and then starts turning the grass around Doc's hooves to chrome.]

[Yeah, okay, Discord. You're going a bit too over the top for his tastes. Doc suddenly snaps back to his senses and rolls his eyes.]

Cut that out, would you? I can clearly see you're using...magic. Illogical, but right in front of my face.

[And on his face, given the way he crosses his eyes to look at the horn.]

I've been to the future. This sure as hell ain't it.

[Blinks.

What a minute, he knew that voice. Marty whipped around to see a unicorn that, for lack of a better way of saying it, looked suspiciously like the Doc he knew.]

... Doc?

[4thdimensional]

[Doc blinks. It's a...the gills and teeth suggest dragon, but it's small. It's also dressed like Marty. Talks like him too. Could it be?]

...Marty?

[Anyone else could probably explain the basic horse jamjar setting and such.

And then there's Teddie.]

Augh, how rude! I am most certainly not a malarkey!

[What even is that? A bird? It sounds like a bird. What kind of sciencemen confuses animals so easily?]

[Oh, look. It's an indignant bear. Doc's gonna see everything today, apparently.]

I beg your pardon?

[He stares at those rounded ears.]

I said 'malarkey', not 'monkey'. Which means nonsense, like whatever sort of situation I've landed in. Alternate universes that transform us: it's unprecedented! And somewhat alarming.

[Of all the strange things that has happened to Mia since becoming a power ranger...finding herself turned into a pink Pegasus surrounded by other ponies was not something she was ever trained for.

For the most part, though, she seemed to be taking it well enough...she wasn't freaking out, at least. She was worried about the others, though. Were they having this problem too?

So when she wasn't looking around - and trying to get used to walking in her new body - she was trying to get her cellphone morpher working. Or rather, she was trying to get the cellphone part working. It seemed she could still morph if she needed to, but it didn't seem to be working as a way of calling the others.

Which only worried her more.

With all that she had going on already, she didn't seem to notice the little hitchhiker riding on her back, settled between her wings. It appeared to be a turtle, nothing too unusual about it, perhaps just a bit smaller than normal turtles would be. But there also seemed to be a strange symbol in faded pink on its shell.]

[Oh, look, it's a blue unicorn trotting up. It's the phone that catches his eye.]

I'm afraid we don't have towers to transmit the signal here---unless your phone works another way?

[She doesn't quite have control over the new...appendages of her body yet, so she can't help as her wings shoot up a bit at the sudden voice. She relaxes somewhat since he doesn't seem hostile...but just slightly.]

Well...it can work like a regular cellphone. But...

[She hesitates for a moment, not entirely sure how much she should really get into it.]

It's also able to contact others who have similar phones that's not quite...normal.

1: "Well, this is certainly new."

Rarity - or rather, a Rarity in full robes of blue, white, and silver - pushes an elaborate white and silver cowled shawl out of her eyes, and that's how she discovers that she has a horn in this form.

"My word!" she says, jumping to her hooves. Which she then examines carefully, frowing. "Well, it wouldn't be the first time I'm not quite myself, but I'd expect CLOVEN hooves if I've the horn and everything else," she says - mostly to herself. "I wonder if -"

She nods her head, closes her eyes and concentrates; her reward is a soft glow around a crystal ball. "Interesting!" she says. "Well, this has been fun, but I rather think I prefer myself with handier appendages."

She casts a spell with a few words of a language that crackles at the back of the throat. Those who are mages will recognize the spell as Dispel Magic. Those from Earth or somewhere like it will recognize the language as Farsi - and those from Equestria, as Saddle Arabian.

It does nothing. She blinks and repeats the spell on herself.

THEN she swears a litany ending in the words "Diskhord! Ibn kalb!"

Karima Almez - for that is her name - is practicing spellweaving, and a song is spilling out from her heart through her lips to her work. The tune is Art of the Dress, though the lyrics differ slightly; they're in Farsi, for one, and for another it's part of a series of incantations for glamours of strength, swiftness, protection and beauty.

She may also be testing the limits of her telekinesis, with the constellation of needles and scissors she's manipulating to do this.

And having a sale on silk dresses. She's been at this for awhile.

Karima's work is done, and she's discovered two things. One, she managed to acquire a LOT of gold in her adventures against the Witch of Aeternal Night, which the Bank of Canterlot is all too happy to take at GENEROUS rates.

Second: That there's a spa in town that's equal to what was, quite literally, the royal treatment back home. How could she NOT go?

Which is why she's currently face-down in a cushion while Aloe rubs her namesake into her anching joints. A noise escapes her lips that turns from a sigh to a whinny to a giggle.

This may actually be the first time you've seen her willingly naked, come to that.

Normally Naotsugu wasn't one for the spa, but he was getting a little worn and weary recently. Recent trips to the hot spring had done only so much, but without his usual set of income, ie slaying monsters, he had been forced to get a job.

The lack of panties slightly frustrated him, but it was good money and Aloe and Lotus were easy on the eyes, if not quite in the same reach of Maryelle. As he walked in for work, Aloe gestured him over. "I need you to take over," she whispered.

"Leave it to me!" Exclaimed Naotsugu as he took over, smoothing aloe into his hooves and beginning to work. "Naotsugu's patented massages coming up!"

[Sweetie Belle had been feeling a little lonely lately. Sure she still had the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but Rarity's disappearance was still hard for her. And while it wasn't like this was the first time Rarity went missing, she still couldn't help but worry. What if the Pale Pony really did get her sister this time?

There was still the other Rarity...and she was pretty cool. But it wasn't the same Rarity, the one she had grown up with. It wasn't quite her sister.

Clearly it was up to Sweetie Belle to help out.

True, she had tried making dresses before, with....mixed results. And it definitely would be hard to fill her sister's fashionable shoes. But with Rarity gone, she had to try. Plus, she's been getting better with dresses!

...Maybe.

But anyway, someone had to help run Carousel Boutique.

...Maybe if she couldn't get a Cutie Mark in making dresses, she could get one in running a dress shop...]

[Ako made it a point to check up on the CMC even after her changing schools. She felt that as one of the few former young children in the newcomers, she had at least kept up with the fillies who showed her hospitality.
